i was planning on seeing Spy movie but…
I saw about a 30 second promo on TV a few nights ago and in that short time I heard the F word twice and crude language regarding male body parts. If that is what it was like for that snipit, imagine what the entire movie will be like. I’m so very disappointed that HSN would be promoting such a valgar movie.
I did not see what you are discussing here. I more then likely would think the same as you.
TV in general has gone down the tubes as far as I am concerned. Between the almost x rated crap and those reality shows oh my goodness. I do not watch the reality shows if I can help it. Especially the ones that are in the peoples homes. I do not care how they live or what their morals and values are most seem pretty low anyway. I just keep to mine. There is a very small few that are up to my standards.
Sad as to what entertainment has become. If I had my way I would not have a tv or any computers in my house. Cost way to much to buy them. Then way to much for cable or whatever way one is getting the connections for tv viewing. Then mostly abunch of garbage on them. I think TV today is a real waste of money. Yet we spend it. If I happen to be watching something that is to rude and crude for me I either turn the channel or I close my eyes and wait for it to pass.
Same with computers these days way to much and way to much to get the other programs oh I me apps to use them the way we use to. Another waste of money yet here too we spend it and depend on it.
Just sad, sad indeed what entertainment has come too. Pretty soon we will not need actors to make movies anymore. Just go plant some cameras in someone house and watch them go about their daily lives.
I mostly watch TCM if I am not catching up with HSN. I find the old movies from the 30’s and 40’s to be much better then what we have now.
Your HSN friend,
I totally agree…I am not seeing this movie..I don’t watch the reality shows…I have seen and heard enough of the K Family to last me the rest of my life and now Caitlyn? OMG. Does no one have any sense of privacy anymore or is it all about the almighty buck?
There is no modesty, no self sensoring…no sense of decorum…nothing. Everything is up for everyone to see and hear. I for one am not interested in the sex life of anyone…anywhere…
And the language out there makes me ill…
What are we teaching our children?
I kind of wonder what type of people watch that show where they kill gators, yeech!
I’m getting so sick of R-rated comedies – not one has been funny! I’ve started watching a few that the previews looked really funny, but then I usually couldn’t get through the first 1/2 hour – THEY ARE SOOOO VULGAR. I have gotten so now that if they preview a funny movie and it’s R-rated, I know it’s not going to be any good. I love a good comedy and have seen some hilarious ones that have been PG-13, but not one single R. The worse part of "Spy" is that I love Jason Statham, but I’ve never seen (sorry I’ve forgotten her real name – the one that plays Molly on TV) her in anything but R. And, she’s so funny on Mike and Molly. NOT in her movie comedies.
I’m so glad you brought this up Lady as I’ve been wondering for a long time now why all the comedies of late are rated R. I’m beginning there is something terribly wrong with our society that anyone feels those vulgar movies are funny!
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve watched several R-rated movies, but not one that I enjoyed was a comedy. I’ve also seen some PG-13 that have been worse than R in the action or thriller genre. So what’s up with all this?
So now I won’t watch R comedies at all; and I’ve NEVER been able to watch horror. Going to need to join one of those dvd clubs that sells or rents just the oldies like the ones with Rock Hudson and Doris Day, I Love Lucy, etc. etc. :smileyfrustrated: Now those were funny.
