Guess What Happened And To Whom!
I didn’t realize the David’s Cookies rep for many years(Adina? I’m sorry I can’t recall her full name) is on EVINE Live now, hawking Devine Treats. When did she leave David’s? Or are they launching a new line and eventually moving all their products to the other network?
Also, Chef Todd English is now on EVINE. It seems everyone kicked off HSN (hosts and vendors) ends up on the former Shop HQ/EVINE. Question for all of you who are experts on marketing: Is it more lucrative as a business strategy for HSN to constantly rotate "trendy" vendors and hosts? Or is there more money to be made in the long-term by standing by successful/established product lines? I don’t have an MBA so I’m curious if there is a point of diminishing returns in a business model like the one HSN seems to be operating. Any opinions out there?
from what i hear, the vendors have set contracts to sell on HSN for a defined period of time. I don’t believe its a matter of being "kicked off" ! when the contract is up, they either renew or move elsewhere.
Sajen Silver at here at HSN was here only a couple years. Marianna and Richard’s line was Offerrings at SHOPNBC for years. Now it seems they are back on the Northern channel which is now EVINE. They also sell from their own website.
Perhaps Sajen Silver’s line was directly opposed to Bali Designs and Himalayan Gems which seem to be Colleen’s favorites. Or there were quality issues with Sajen…some of the reviews were poor and I ordered a ring that lost a stone after a couple months. I emailed them with pictures to see if it could be fixed and they never responded back.
Remember Sajen Silver? Richard & Marianna Jacobs are on EVINE now, calling their line Offerings. Didn’t they disappear off HSN around the time Colleen Lopez’s son graduated from Gemology school and started traveling "around the world" to source similar pieces for Colleen’s jewelry line? Or is that just a coincidence?
Kathy Levine on the EVINE. I loved her on QVC with Joan Rivers and watched her with my wife. I didn’t care what she was selling. I just enjoyed watching her. Oh yes, she’s a Catasauqua girl from PA………..Ronnie
A few days ago, I read that an owner of Evine is a former CEO of HSN. He probably knows these vendors, and perhaps plans to duplicate and revive much of HSN’s past at Evine.
Seems to have been that way for a while. At least we can still find SOME of our favorite vendors
Pamela McCoy is on Evine too.
Hope they do well. Without a doubt they do have great prices and specials. The prices on other channels leave alot to be desired.
Well HSN ‘aint’ hurting I was reading that they were paying out big dividends to their investors. So their strategy seems to be working.
Evine? That’s shophq or shopnbc? Adina? Oh well.
I am not being mean but the word KICKED OFF is a turn off. I prefere HSN- HSN offers bright, young and young at heart item’s that I love to buy and give. The lady who is now with the other network better make her 3rd time a charm.
Last time I saw her she was pushing Nutri System with Marie. They can do without me.
I NOW BUY MT BORGHESE ELESWHERE-
