GOLD OVER STERLING – FYI
CUSTOMERS BE ADVISED. GOLD MAX AND OTHERS HAVE TOLD ME THEY WON’T ACCEPT JEWELRY THAT IS GOLD OVER STERLING, EVEN THO IT’S PRECIOUS METAL. THEY’LL TAKE ONLY GOLD OR STERLING AND WILL ONLY ACCEPT BONDED JEWELRY AS "COSTUME JEWELRY" AND GIVE YOU LOW PRICES ACCORDINGLY.
You’re very welcome!
This was a fun thread!!! :smileyhappy:
YOU PEOPLE ARE TOO FUNNY!! THANX FOR THE RESPONSES… LOVE YA…
Yep, that is correct. I sold some gold late last year, and they did not accept my vermeil because they consider it gold-plated :smileymad:.
I’ll take gold over silver anytime. I don’t have as much money as some of the other posters. I wish I had the kind of money that would afford me to buy whatever jewelry I desire, but I don’t. I have to force myself to be selective.
Thanks for letting us know this !! very interesting…
… why? I always thought that gold on silver is even more of a good thing!
My guess would be that it is easy to melt plain silver and it is easy to melt plain gold, but you need to somehow separate the two from a bonded ring. Is that really why?
I was trying to make a funny joke out of the fact that big massha covered in fat is like two great things in one – like gold over silver – but some people might prefer their fat (esp in bacon form) and their masshas separately. The joke is not working out, so you make your own.
