DOES RFID REALLY WORK?
I ordered a RFID clutch before reading reviews. There were a few who felt like the RFID failed to protect. Is there a safe way to test it? This feature is the only reason I ordered this item.
Thanks for the info.
I would think you could test it this way: If you have a badge or access card for work that has the RFID chip that is sensed by a proximity reader, you could put the badge in your clutch and then see if the badge reader can read it. For a credit card, find a location that accepts your card for contactless transactions and see if they can read the card while it’s in your clutch.
There have been reviews that say that the blocking feature diminishes over time. I saw that a reviewer on Amazon tested an RFID-blocking wallet two years after purchase and found that to be true! This may depend on what material is used to do the blocking, but sometimes a false sense of security is worse than no security at all.
