Am I the only one? I do not like the way HSN is ‘overlooking’ Christmas this year! Happy everything, really? To negate the fact that the reason for your increased sales this time of year is because we celebrate Christmas upsets me to say the least! I have supported your company since the days of "Tootie", but I think this year I will do more of my CHRITMAS shopping elsewhere!
This has been addressed before, ad nauseum. No one gets to dictate how others, and/or a business, decide to celebrate the holiday season. Your selective ‘Happy everything’ conveniently leaves out the fact that ‘Merry’, (as in Merry Christmas), is the FIRST holiday listed in the banner… ‘Merry, Happy Everything’. I find it refreshing that HSN is INCLUSIVE of ALL faiths celebrating the season, not just yours. That you threaten to take your business elsewhere is like a two-year-old throwing a tantrum because they didn’t get their way.
I forgot one more holiday Happy Chanukah.
This time of the year their are many holidays to celebrate, First is Happy Halloween,Happy Thanksgiving,When we are in December and the reason for the season is approaching why can.t we celebrate with Merry Christmas. If it wasn’t for Christ birthday we would not be celebrating. If you are an atheist you would not be celebrating so why should care what people are wishing.
Seropisly? Are you incapable of practicing your faith and celebrating your holiday unless every other single person and retailer oberves it in the way that YOU see fit?
As may holidays are celebrated beginning in October and going into January, retailers (in business to sell things and make money) will attempt to include as many holidays and people as possible.
This is a time of year when most people tend to wish others good wishes and a happy holiday season. It is a short time when most people look towards the good in the world and wish the best for others. If some peole wish to be myopic and focus on people not celebrating the way only they feel is appropriate, so be it.
