chef ming induction
I just got my chef ming induction but I’m confused on how to use it. chef ming dosn’t have tempiture setting so how do I know what tempure to cook my mesrs? also the frying pan that came with it,do I let the pan get real hot before I put my eggs in to not stick? or let them fry until they loosen from the pan? I use my spachulaand the eggs stick. this is all new cook technology to me. I never had thist type of cookware so I don’t know if I’m keeping them or sending back plus I have parakeets and a cockatiel and I don’t know if this cookware is even safe for them. thanks.
@shunshine, you should also check the booklet that came with your pan. The instructions for my pans from Ming for use on the induction plate state that they need to be seasoned like you do cast iron. If you haven’t done that, that is probably what is causing your eggs to stick.
thank you this information is very helpfu. and I will season my pan. my chef ming is 1800. its my first chef ming first induction thank you.
@shunshine I also got the Ming induction burner. I had the Nuwave induction set for about 5 years and loved it. Not sure if yours is the 1800 W or not, but that’s what I got. And that has more power than my old one. It’s great, never thought water could boil so fast! LOL
On another thread, someone said not to heat the pan without something in it , but I have consistently done that.
You should have gotten a booklet that gives some ideas as to what temperature to use. But just consider it like a gas or electric range. Like a gas range, it does change temperatures quicker than an electric does.
Here’s what came in my booklet ( and remember this is from the 1800 W burner),
LOW 100degrees F WARM
MED LOW 175 SIMMER
MED 275 STEAM
MED HIGH 375 STIR/DEEPFRY
HIGH 425 BOIL/SAUTE
MAX/SEAR 565 SEAR
And you can use any temps in between.
The only coating I have heard of a problem for birds was Teflon and only when it started peeling. Not sure they even make Teflon anymore. And I had a dove for 16 years and no problem with any cookware that I had.
Give it a try and experiment with it and have fun with it!
