I don’t want to open a topic about Bruce Jenner unless it’s safe. Are conversations about him allowed?
IT’S TRULY SAD. DITTO CHASTITY BONO. PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM. I AM.
I remember bruce Jenner from way back as an Olympic athlete…married ..had kids..then met the Kardashian crew…who wouldn’t be messed up!
As long as Bruce Jenner is happy then alright. JMO:smileyhappy:
I hear that the world’s two biggest problems are ignorance and apathy…
…but I don’t know, and I don’t care.
The whole thing is just too weird for me. I liked it better when people lived in closets. Why does everybody have to make big declarations about their sexual orientation. Who cares?!
If Bruce Jenner wants to commit to some unnatural conversion, let him do it on his own time. Why do we have to be forced to watch or converse about it?
I’ve seen a lot of shows about transgender people. It’s such a complex topic on so many different levels. I’m not sure if they are ever really happy with themselves, even after the surgery. I think it’s easier for females to do the flip and switch because, for whatever reason, it’s easier for them to look male. So, maybe they are happy with the results. But it isn’t so easy to make a man look female or feminine. I know they go through a lot of torment. Some of them are severely ridiculed and lose entire families and friends. I think maybe some men have a highly feminine vision of themselves in their minds, but their mental image doesn’t match what they see in the mirror.
On one of the shows I watched, a man who switched over to female happened to have a fairly prestigious job and got a $10,000 cut in pay when he made the switch to female.
I can’t imagine how hard it would be to be one gender but feeling like you should be another.
It would be pretty awful living in the K world too, even without having the internal struggle of gender identity to deal with. Talk about living in a fish bowl.
I’ll be brutally honest, and I hope I don’t anger anyone. It’s annoying and offensive to me when people refer to a biological male as ‘she’ and a biological female as ‘he.’ A person’s sex cannot be changed. Even if you remove the organs, I’ll use Bruce Jenner as an example, he is still a he because he was born with those biological factors that make him male. In his mind and heart he wants to be female, but he is still male.
It must be awful looking in the mirror, and seeing something on the exterior that doesn’t jive with what’s on the inside. I wonder for how many decades he struggled?
I guess it would be ok to discuss him?
