Anyone Watching the Olympics?
I love watching . I hate that Serena and Venus lost their doubles match .
Serena won her round one singles match, she beat Australia’s Daria Gavrilova . I really like both Serena and Venus.
I also love the swimming and basketball events
GO Team USA
Ps …. I hope the cheaters lose !
I posted about the Ronda their pantys just the same as the posters on here. they rejected it. I said it’s a board of health issue. I. said NY store will take them back and it got rejected. there are very long post on here but mine? it gets rejected to only one or two lines so others on here can post long real long post but I cant ? I” can’t? what’s up with that? HSN are you singeling me out ? I think its te for me to take my business elsewhere.
three athlete in RIO were robed at gun point but all three are safe. they posed as cops. they just took there money. the U.S.A. is beating most games and ahead in medal count top one.
I just read the comment about one winner not holding her hand over her heart during the national anthem.
I never heard of that being a requirement.
Personally, I’ve never held my hand that way, nor have I seen anyone else around me do it either. Maybe it’s a local custom somewhere.
(Now for the Pledge of Allegiance–that’s a different story! The hand has to be over one’s heart.)
I love the Olympics. I love watching so many of the events, ladies and mens gymnastics are probably my favs. Oh and the beach volleyball.
But swimming, equestrian, field hockey, water polo, cycling. fencing, so many.
What I’m not fond of is wrestling, boxing, basketball, golf. I know I know BOO HISS ON ME ROFL!
I have been watching and I think that Michael Phelps is acting a bit like : You need me here , I don’t need you. Laughing when he received his gold medal and our country song was being sung I thought: What is up with your honor and respect for the country that has blessed you and enabled you to become the champion you were meant to be. That goes for his boys too.
I love the Olympics!
My favorite events so far are gymnastics & diving.
P.S. ALSO, SADLY, I’M CYNICAL ABOUT WINNERS & WONDER, ARE WE GOING TO HEAR IN A FEW YEARS THAT THEY USED DRUGS? (WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG FOR THEM TO FIND OUT, ANYWAY?!)
IT’S SO SO SO HOT HERE THIS SUMMER THAT I HANG OUT IN THE LIBRARY SO I DONT HAVE TO RUN THE AIR. I MISS NOT SEEING IT DURING THE DAY. ONLY WATCH AT NITE. USA! USA!! USA!!! :smileyvery-happy:
Yes. I enjoy watching the US women’s gymnastics team. They are wonderful. One of the newer members is from Old Bridge NJ , not far from where we used to live.
I also enjoy watching the swimming competions.I never learned how to swim, long story, I marvel at what they are able to do.
The only problem is a lot of what I want to see is being shown very late.
I watched the US Water Polo match with Spain on 8 Aug. Spain won! :womansad: I was looking for my cousin’s son Jesse Smith – yeah he made the Olympic Team again. He participated in the Beijing olympics in 2008.
Twelve teams qualified for the 2016 games in Rio: Australia, Brazil, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Montenegro, Serbia, Spain and the United States.
Team USA needs to finish in the top four (of six) in their group to advance to the quarterfinals.
France and the U.S. are winless. The Americans also have Italy (two wins) and Montenegro (1-1) to play.
The United States Men’s Water Polo Team earned a silver medal in 2008 and has won six medals in 20 tries at the Olympics — but no gold.
I use to compete in Swimming as a teenager-so I always watch swim events. There is lots of coverage with Gold Medal winner (is it 19 now?) Michael Phelps!
I wish the Williams sisters had won the double. Go USA!
