A VALENTINE DAY HERO!
I don’t know about any of you ladies…but I remember in high school a couple times not being thought of on Valentine’s Day. It didn’t feel very good…especially when other classmates got either a card, candy or flowers. There’s a story online regarding a high schol boy… this school boy saved money for a year in order to get EACH girl in his school a flower. (834 girls!) No, he wasn’t seeking someone to be his valentine as he already has a girlfriend. It’s a reminder that we ALL can do something to make a difference in the life of another. If not you…who and if not now…when? Is it ever too late to do the right thing? I thought how proud his parents and family are of him. More importantly, his level of thoughtfulness and generosity. I cannot post the link here as it’s not allowed. Yet, I encourage all of you to read (online) about this incredible young man.:heart::heart:
I read this story on a couple of different sites.Sounds as if the boy is a real keeper. Not many worry about someone having hurt feelings or feeling left out anymore so it was nice to read that.I was never in the popular crowd at school because I was to shy to make friends.I was raised very poor and couldn’t afford to have simple things that many other kids did and it is not a good feeling at all to be overlooked as if you aren’t there.
As we get older things like this still matter but not as much as they do when you are younger and among classmates.etc..plus there is so much bullying in recent years too.My husband has been gone a number of years and I still miss getting the cards and gifts he would gave me.We all like to be loved and remembered.I am sure there were a few girls that appreciated this so much and maybe will never say so due to being ashamed they had no one to give them anything. Some it has made a world of difference to for their Valentine’s Day.He truly has a loving heart to do this.
