A Question on Returning Things
I decided to return a couple of things I bought when Heidi was on. The problem is I got rid of all but one mailing bag and all of the paperwork. Can I print up my orders from the web page and put several items in one bag? I just cleaned out all my bags I had been saving so I am down to one. Help!
I know they don’t like you to do that, but I have been in the same way you have been in. I went online and printed out the return label. On the label it will print out all the items shipped with that item. Take all the items that you will be returning with that item and group it together and put in one bag secure and packaged to where it won’t get damaged, and take the others and do the same. I just grouped the items that was listed on one shipping label together, but shipped in one package together and they accepted it, that way when they received it, they knew what was returned on what return label. the only thing is, that If the item gets lost in the mail, the shipping label reads the weight and it does not read correct if it is lost and HSN will disagree if the weight is not the same. Another option is to go to the P O and get the USPS prepaid box for like 6.00 and ship it all back together in one box, they cannot complain about that if you prepay the return yourself and return it all together.
@judiwonder, Thank you for answering my question. It’s pretty much as I expected. Now to find something to ship them back in, though your idea of getting a prepaid box and putting it all together is a great idea, too.
Pamlou, First of all, you don’t have to mail back anything in the bag/box it came in. You can always use your own packaging. HSN has posted previously that as long as the shipping labels show the return going to the same address, it’s okay to ship them in one box/bag–even if they’re from multiple orders. Be sure you enclose the newly printed packing slips from each order, so you get full credit. I write on the package the number of orders and items being returned. The last time I did this there was a few days delay in getting the item from the second order credited, but it did finally show up. The mods had told me to give it a few additional days and if it didn’t show up, they would credit it by hand. (Also, it doesn’t hurt to give HSN Customer Service a heads up that you’re returning multiple items.You can just let the mods know by posting on the Customer Service thread.)
If you use the PO’s prepaid boxes for Heidi items, be sure to purchase insurance. It is automatically included in HSN’s prepaid return labels.
