WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR POSTING TOP SCORES?
I began playing here on HSN today, 8/17/16, and readily admit I have no familiarity regarding posting protocol. I am, however, somewhat familiar with common sense and it doesn’t appear to me that however score postings are handled do not provide me with much faith in the system. I am referring in this case to Klondike Solitair where the Top Score is listed at 123,350. There are a few others equally ridiculous before reality sets in and the scores are registered in the vicinity of 75,000. I really don’t care too much about the outrageous Top Score since there is no possible way that I will ever achieve the level shown by a fairly long list of real achievements. I am more curious as to why there are three scores on the list which have been impossible to reach by people below the third highest score listed (appx. 82,000). It seems to me that even with the unethical use of a bot to play the game that 76,000 might possibly be the best score achievable. Not complaining, just curious if there is an explanation that is not readily apparent to an old foggy “newbee?”
The other problem for some of those super high scores, is that HSN had Arkadia change the games thru the years. Either to make them different than other websites versions, or to make the game easier to play.
But when they change the games, they don’t remove those super high scores. So just ignore those and shoot for the daily and weekly high scores!
Good luck to you, and win!
In the past there were times when the clock timer on the games would stick and people would get really high scores. For some reason or other HSN couldn’t remove them. You’re better off going by the “today’s top scores.”
