Understanding Eggz Blast
I’ve played Eggz Blast a lot since last Friday and still don’t understand the game, althouough I’ve beaten Sean’s score several times (just don’t post them). If I get the first round completed in 2 eggz, I get 870 points, but if I complete in 3-4 I get 880-910 points for the first round only. Then I can never get past Level 10 because you never get the right color eggz. Can someone explain how this game works? I’m confused in thinking the faster you get the egg to the top bar and clear the round the higher the score will be but that’s not the case. I’m not understanding at all!!
Oh, I feel your pain. Happens to me too I can’t get pass level 7:womansurprised:
I’m not a pro but I’ve beat his score about 45 times this week. The first thing you look for is to find a grouping of eggs the same color as the one you are going to shoot. Especially in rounds 1 – 5, most of the time you can clear most of the board with 1 egg and then hit the top. Don’t forget you can angle your shots – hit the side wall and it can go around many eggs sitting in the middle and bounce up to the top board. Almost every game gives you a puzzle that has all the eggs grouped in the middle of the board. This is where you want to hit the side wall and it will go around all those in the middle, hit the top with only one shot! You definetly have to play fast, not much time to think. But if you just focus on quickly finding groupings of the egg you have you will do much better. Another thing that occurs in every game getting the bombs right off the bat. Go for the side and 2 or 3 bombs will clear you to the top. Each level increases with how many points you get for that level. You have to get to level 10 at least to win. But you have to shoot fast – getting easy games is the first but shooting quickly is the only way to get up to level 10 and beyone where you will beat Sean’s score. And learning to use the bombs to clear a path helps also. It seems if you can’t clear a level with 3 or 4 shots you won’t get to high enough score to win. I hope this helps.
eagleall, the scoring on this game is why what you see makes you think it’s better to have extra eggs. You get 10 points for every egg you clear from the board, no matter what the level. However, you get 10 x the level for every egg left on the board when you hit the back wall. So on the first level you get 10 points no matter what. That’s why you see higher scores if you shoot extra eggs; but you’ve used time that you could save for a level where you get 100 points for every egg left on the board when you hit the backboard.
Speed is extremely important. Your one goal is always to hit the backboard as quickly as possible while leaving as many eggs as possible. I usually refresh the game if I don’t clear the first round with 2 eggs because it means I’ve lost too much time trying to get to level 2. You need that time when you get to the higher levels.
lemire has given you some good ideas on how to do that.
I understand it but it’s beyond me how Sean can get that kind of score. When I play, it’s slow and kinda jerking (if that makes sense), so I never can get beyond level 10…forget high scoring with me. Hey, but it’s free and passes time. Good Luck!
