Today’s Special – TracPhone- Couldn’t resist!
I’m one of the last people in the U.S. to purchase a cellphone, I believe. Have had a cheap tracphone since day one, but since next month is my birthday, when I saw the Today’s Special, I couldn’t resist buying myself a present.
I got to thinking of the possibilities! I’ll be able to video chat with my grandchildren, keep in touch by texting, and we’ll be able to quickly and easily share current photos. And…there are $50 in free apps that also come with this super TracPhone. Triple minutes for the life of the phone is another plus.
This phone looks marvelous and I cannot wait to get it.
Has anyone else on here purchased one today? If so, which case did you get? I bought the paisley.
My husband paid $250 for an HSN phone a year ago, and this one priced at $129.95 has all the same features making it a great deal. He has had lots of trouble with his phone not working right. It wasn’t a Tracfone and it’s carrier was Virgin Mobile.
Which TRACFONE WAS IT & WHAT WAS THE PRICE?
I am still trying to see if any of them will work with the Jawbone earpiece to DO ALL FROM THE EARPIECE.
I ordered it with the leopard cover because they didn’t offer red. It’ll be like upgrading from a skateboard to a limo for me, lol. Everything about it was hard to pass up. Can’t wait to get it!
I didn’t see the presentation but I’ve upgraded from a non-Android Tracfone to an Android Tracfone within the last year.
They didn’t double or triple the balance I transferred, but the balance was converted to equal amounts of calling, text and data. So for example if my balance on the old phone was 932 minutes, when I transferred they gave me 932 minutes of calling, 932 texts and 932 MB of data.
The new minutes that come with your new phone are automatically tripled, so you’ll be getting 1200 more minutes, text and MB added on.
This is probably not a phone for people who live on it. But for the occasional user who wants the convenience of a phone when you’re out and about, it’s a great plan. At the end of service year, you can buy another year for $100, or look for another deal like this one where you upgrade the phone for almost free and get a new year of service thrown in.
I’m not ordering but thought that they could have offered more case colors…no red? Or even a gray/silver tone…as a guy I wouldn’t do the paisley, animal, nor purple, which only leaves black or blue. Just seems odd to me.
Personally I find the system totally confusing…having to buy minutes, texts, data AND then make sure that you have kept the time/duration thing current, so that they don’t close your account (I’ve had my Sprint number for EVER! Since I rarely use my phone but absolutely must have it for work (when I’m traveling, if there is a re routing of you for work, company will auto call…MUST have reliable U.S. service. These calls happen about 4 times a year or so. I do have to relay how crazy this can be…in early June, I was supposed to be at work at 6AM…phone starts ringing at 3A and rings every 15 minutes, changing messages each time, until 7:30A, when it said the day was cancelled…I went back to bed!), I would not want to have to be thinking about that.
I do need a new phone…I currently don’t have texting nor data (my plan is ancient and is as low as it could ever be with Sprint)…I’m seriously considering Consumer Cellular and a Moto G EXT or Moto E…CC uses ATT.
- 1200 minutes/1200 texts and 1200MB of data included (1 year of service)
that’s a 100 minutes and a 100 texts a month and less than 1 gb of data!!!! a 100 minutes a mnth??? :womanfrustrated:
Ok..Mrs. Techno Stu-pid here..LOL
I’ve been using Tracfone for years..I ordered the TS this morning..
Just hope it’s easy to set up and to use..Never had an Android before. As long as I don’t need a wi-fi in the house I should be ok..
Hopefully it will arrive before my kids come to visit..So they can show Techno Stu-pid
how to use it..
The service should be ok for me..My Tracfone that I use now has AT &T..
Hope you enjoy your Birthday Present..flyby2 !
I always buy myself A really nice present when my birthday rolls around,too..
I would be tempted to buy this for my mother but we have a bit of a unique problem here in our area. I would need to find out what network this tracfone is going to use, AT&T or T-Mobile, BUT I am having trouble finding that out. If this phone is going to use T-Mobile then GREAT but if I will be stuck with at&t then BAD!! We are a DEADZONE for at&t here…I would need to find this out BEFORE I would buy this, not after. I did not see anything on the hsn page, a link or anything where I could email or call to find out. I doubt the hsn telephone order takers or customer service could find out. Does anyone know how to find out what network tracfone will use for your zip code?
I have a couple of Tracfones. I started purchasing them a few years ago. I use them as extras and as backup phones. The last one I got was the Alcatel phone. – a few months ago.
I like Tracfone and this Lg TS looks like a good phone. I love Lg. I am a little tempted to get this one, but I think I will pass for now.
Enjoy your phone, flyby2. :womanhappy:
