Todays special Puzzle
Hi is there anywhere I can get info on how to move the pieces around , Like how to flip over the piece to line up th flat side. Is ther a hint section for the puzzle? Thank you for any and all help given. AGGY788
Hi Aggy! Wish I coulld give some good/useful hints for puzzle solving . Thanks for starting this thread with such a good question. Others have great suggestions. :womanhappy:
I usually start by doing the edges and going by colors that match:
I am not very good at all with the puzzles and there is no flipping to do Thank goodness:)
Peace and love:)
Hi aggy. I told you’d I’d alert you when there was a good puzzle to practice on. Sorry it’s so late in the day, but today’s puzzle is a really good one. Hope you had a good day.
I didn’t know there were places to click edges and find the one piece hidden under the puzzle you can’t get to so you have to give up on the entire puzzle. Thanks friends!
Aggy, I very rarely play the puzzle when it’s jewelry. It is so hard for me anyway and not worth the aggravation. I also do the border first by what Lizzie said, using the menu button and show edges. Much easier io get it out of the way first.
Then I do what Dynac says to do which is have piles of the colors. I am not a very good puzzle player but I have improved a lot over the last year. I started out around 15-30 min for each puzzle…now I can do them in 5-9 min.
Just takes practice or a special talent like some of the players around here have!
You don’t need to turn or flip any pieces. They fit the way you are seeing them..I usually do mine within 9 minuets or less. Some take 10 or 11 if its a hard color combination. What I have found to make it easier for me is to sort by color.I have a little pile with the color scheme or like today I lay all the pieces showing the necklace in one pile. Then I lay all the solid white pieces together..
Then I do the frame by laying them out near the side they fit.I pick up the corner piece and go to each top piece and try to fit.I move quickly until I find the fit and continue doing the same way until that edge is complete.I do the same for all sides..Depending on the picture I decide whats next.Today I spread the necklace pieces and fit those together and then added the white pieces around that to complete. If you can do it within 8 minutes or so you get 200 tickets, double to 400 this weekend.More time and it drops to 150/300 tickets.
I usually do the puzzle 3 times if I have time and each time your speed improves because its easier since you have put it together before.I don’t use the Show Edges click since I am moving all the other stuff as I sort .The edge will be all that is left once you drag the other pieces to the side.I tried that a couple of times and it added 2 minutes or more to my time doing it that way.
If its a picture with nice color its really fast to just put the same color pieces together then build around or fit the colors together.
Aggy788 I miss you. I am around 169 now. I have been very bad playing all day when I am not working! I was excited to see your post!
aggy788, there’s no need to flip over pieces as they are all properly oriented to put the puzzle together. You should be able to find hints that people have written on how they do the puzzle by typing "puzzle" in the search box at the top of the Arcade forum. You can also check for "Tags" at the bottom of the menu on the left when you’re on the Arcade community page.
The things that come to mind immediately are to start by putting the border together. Click on "Main Menu" at the bottom left and then on "Show Edges." Once you’ve done that click on "Show All." Once you’ve got all the pieces, move the border to one side of the screen and lasso all the other pieces and move them to the other side of the screen. If you should lose some pieces under the puzzle, the "Toggle Depth" button on the menu will bring pieces to the top of the puzzle.
I’ve found it easier to put it together using Theater Mode, but that means doing it without the TS picture on the right side of the screen. I usually do it once in regular mode so I get familiar enough to do it without that picture. You can also click on Show Preview on the Main Menu to get a picture of the puzzle.
Hope this helps. Have fun.
