Posting scores of other players
Why aren’t we allowed to post scores of other players, and when did this rule begin? Why does it seem the rule is being applied arbitrarily?
A Very good topic, Thisgoesto11. I had this issue in the past, speifically 2 weeks ago and I do have a record of it. When One of the posters on JPA had a GREAT score in Klondike I posted CONGRATULATIONS! WAY TO GO! AWSOME score and a snapshot of a leaderboard with their great achievement.
My post was removed. NOTHING in my post mentioned ANY OTHER PLAYERS, just a snapshot of a leaderboard. And congratulations. HSN_Kim removed it because I violated SOMETHING. Dear HSN_Ryan, I would like to know PLEASE what I violated by congratulating a firend who got a great score in a game! I would appreciate an answer from YOU, please.
I certainly do not want to violate any rules, so it might be educational not only for me, but for others too. Thank you!
Ryan, several of us posted yesterday evening on the Just Playin’ Around thread, after thisgoesto11 stated that the leader board that she posted was removed. We remarked that the leader boards are sometimes allowed and sometimes removed. We asked for a Moderator to clarify, but up to my posting of this, no moderator had responded.
We were concerned because it doesn’t seem that there is a consistent way that they are handled. We don’t know if there is some reason that some Leader Boards were deemed unacceptable and others weren’t. We would like to avoid problems, but we need to be aware of the criteria being used to remove some of them.
This HAS happened on our thread too Ryan, but I think it has more to do with the LB’s…we have posted full LB’s on games to have them deleted by other Mods…saying that it was against guidelines to post LB’s with other players names on them.
Sometimes they do get deleted and other times they don’t.
Is it just up to the individual Moderators? And IF it is…why?
