Ok, now I really have to say that HSN has slowly dropped in interest over the past year or so, with hours and hours and hours of fashions, shoes and other products that should not be done over and over in a one hour show, but now AETNA INSURANCE ?????????????? are you kidding me?
What is wrong with the producers of this company, which once was the BEST home shopping show in the country but now has totally turned me away. I am so sad about this I watched all day when I could and bought many many products, which I loved. Loved the format 20 minutes and on to the next thing….now its hours and hours of the same things over and over and over.
But now INSURANCE….sorry, that is definately it for me….off to QVC.
This is a new low to be selling insurance. Capitalizing on your clients health to make more money is really pathetic. Please show your class and get rid of this insurance business.

And I thought selling cars was bad! (and never watched!).
However, all insurance is the same. It is a business. And to make money. But I don’t believe it is appropriate – for shopping from home!!!! – And most important "Can I use a coupon on that?" LOL
As for jumping to QVC…..this is just my opinion.
Ok – first of all, I pretty much only turn the shopping channels on when there is something I want to watch. And I do miss a lot of stuff. But I can’t sit still without fidgeting during a really good movie – so watching high pressure sales tactics on items I’m not interesed it, would drive me to drink! (and since I don’t drink, perhaps I should return to watching the cars and insurance presentations!) haha..
Now I digress – to QVC:
What’s up with them? Seriously! For at least over a year. It’s the same stuff over and over.
Vionic shoes, Mally, IT Cosmetics, Philosophy, Wen, and a few more. Don’t they have anything NEW or original to present? I didn’t mention Vita-Mix as I have had a Vita-Mix for decades! – never had to order a new one after 15 years, but I did for the containers – the older one had stainless steel containers (couldn’t see thru it, but I did love the spout at the bottom!)… I do believe *everyone* should have a Vita-Mix AND both the wet and dry blade. And no, I don’t have any affiliation with them. Just an awesome product that always and consistently delivers.
I think HSN has the better overall variety – and I love the craft shows. Like QVC, they should be 24/7 every month! LOL
I totally agree with you and Aetna is the worst choice and highest rates. What is going on now? Do we have to have infomercials in bewtween 24 hour a day selling? I am disgusted to see this.
I had AETNA Insurance for many many years and then after paying them high and higher premiums when I got really sick I had to fight tooth and nail to get them to pay my hospital and doctor bills! I’m one the thousands of patients that were part of the law suit filed for failing to pay hospital and doctor bills correctly "out of network" when no network doctors were in the area (I was actually TURNED DOWN by the Home Health Care attached to the hospital I was in at the time due to lack of payment from AETNA. I was stuck with bills I shouldn’t have had to pay and that was after spending hours, days, and months fighting with them. AT one point they even determined one of my hospital stays was "not an emergency" and weren’t going to cover any of it even though I almost bled to death and spent 5 days in ICU! Then just when I thought I’d get at least a few bucks back when the class action law suit was finalized – AETNA pulled out and refused to agree with the court on the LAST DAY. Luckily I am now on Medicare. Would not recommend AETNA to a DOG. And now it’s affiliated with HSN! I’m been a loyal HSN customer for many years and just ordered some things last week – but refuse to accept this. QVC even though it has gotten more expensive will get my business back. I’m soooo disappointed with HSN for this move to sell or partner with AETNA!
Hard to believe….
that HSN doesn’t see a problem with advertising policies of this nature …..
that Aetna, which doubled the monthly premium on my health insurance policy to $3,000.00
a month after my husband was diagnosed with cancer,
(we had been customers for more than 10 years)… Knowing no one else would insure us,
I had no choice but to continue paying that rate for 3 years , when my husband passed away.
Now Aetna is positioning themselves to capitalize even further on cancer.
Notice that the statement ,you must be "Approved by our underwriters"-
meaning , this is not a policy to help those with cancer pay their expenses, BUT rather another way to capitalize on the fear of the possibility of being diagnosed with it.
I Agree with you 110% … When I saw/heard That! … I was Shell-Shocked and Speechless for a few minutes. – I Still can Not believe it!

It has been Sad watching your ‘Class’ dwindle and dwindle to rival that of the local Flea Market. .. Perhaps you decided to allow q to corner the market on Class .. What’s left for you is the Dollar Store?
