HSN I think you may regret
the decision not to give points for reviews.
I like my tickets and probably won’t review nearly as much if I’m not receiving my 50 tickets for doing so.
I liked getting points for doing reviews. It was an extra incentive. I also liked getting 25 points for going to HSN site. I also learned new things by doing missions. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it.
I also liked getting points for reviewing products. HSN should have continued this along with getting 25 points when you went to HSN. Com. I even liked doing missions to learn new items. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it.
I feel as a consumer we have a right and responsibility to inform others the truth so that they are well informed. I myself want to be informed with accurate information. I do not give inaccurate reviews no matter who does or does not like it.
I never even realized that I was getting 50 points for a review.
I review to help other shoppers with their own purchase, no other reason, and I will continue to do so.
I neither agree or disagree with the change. The tickets were never an incentive for me to leave a review.
I still review my purchases but I have to agree 50 tickets for taking the time to submit a review was a real drawing card.
I give honest reviews, no matter who, what or where…I have gone on to review other products from other places, I don’t think HSN likes how I respond at times. Hey April.:smileywink:
I don’t think it was a bad decision. I leave a review if I really liked a product and if I really didn’t like it. If I’m on the fence it’s a hit or miss for me to take the time to review.
Most of the time, I forget to review things anyway…but I see more useful reviews in the forums.
I do read reviews with humor. I will always try and be true to myself and buy it if my own senses tell me it is for me- ANYTHING BUT MUSK–If I SEE MUSK IN A REVIEW I REFUSE.
So yes reviews are at times important to me.
I refuse to leave bad reviews and maybe twice had a reason to but in the many years with HSN I have been very happy.
POINTS OR NO POINTS- I saw still review.
Although I loved getting the tickets hopefully it will cut down on the unhelpful reviews like "took too long to ship" or great/poor product without any sort of explanation. I DO read reviews and they really help me making buying decisions.
I will always review a Heidi Daus piece. I always leave reviews if reminded.:smileyhappy:
I have no regrets about this decision. :womanvery-happy:
I have never, ever won one item with tickets.:womanmad:
I do not care. :womanvery-happy: Thanks for saving my time. I now just review items that are wonderful or horrible and nothing in between.
What is the point of winning tickets if I cannot win anything with the tickets? It is worthless. :womanfrustrated:
I wonder if this will cut down on the ridiculous reviews saying something like "I have not yet tried it but …"
On the other hand, personally I will probably review less. I don’t know…. I guess if I were HSN, I would try it this way and that way and compare.
I’ll agree to a bit of a grumble on this matter.
It’s not like you can redeem your tickets for actual cash or merchandise. Unless I’m missing something else, the best you could do for a redemption was to enter the drawings (very limited amount of awards versus the thousands to who knows amounts that people would use to enter and then lose) or give to charity (my choice).
It seems odd…and stingy. It was a small something that encouraged me to do some reviews on the HUGE amount of stuff that I’ve purchased.
