Frustrated and disappointed
The other day I saw a Slinky set on clearance, down from $59.90 to $9.95 w/free shipping. The color I wanted in my size said only 5 left so I jumped on it immediately and placed my order, getting a confirmation email. When I looked at the item again, sure enough it said only 4 left. Later that same night I get an email from HSN saying they had an inventory error and my item was on waitlist and hopefully they would get it back in stock in 30 days. REALLY???? What are the chances this clearance item is coming back in stock. Now instead of showing it’s on waitlist it is saying sold out. I am disappointed that I placed the order, got a confirmation # plus a confirmation email to later be told YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK!!!!! And what’s worse, in my order status where it still says processing, they give me an estimated delivery date!!!! I don’t think I am being treated right 🙁

Sorry this happened to you. I’ve had the same happen with other items and it’s disappointing. One time in particular was a Today’s Special Angel Wrap. I ordered early when lots of colors were available. I received an email the next day saying it was out of stock. I was angry because if I had known earlier, I would have ordered a different color. I was told they process orders in batches and by the time my batch was processed, color was sold out. To add insult to injury, HSN was a cavalier attitude about it. You might want to try calling customer service and see if there is anything they can do.
I agree, their attitude was cavalier 🙁 I called twice and got the same runaround from both calls. I guess their policy is oversell to make sure they sell everything. I still love HSN, I just really want this great deal on a Slinky outfit…..Oh well.
