FRIDAY NIGHT TRIVIA, APRIL 24, 2020
Hi All. Do you know what day it is. Yes, It’s Friday Night. Time For Trivia….
Hope you are all ready for some fun. For the newcomers, the questions can be found in the Rewards Store within the Arcade. Questions begin between 8 pm and 8:05 pm EST. depending upon your computer clock. There are six questions during the game. The last question is posted between 10:30 pm and 10:35 pm EST. Again, depending upon your computer clock. Each question lasts approximately 30 minutes, so you will need to come up with the correct response within that time frame. If you answer incorrectly, you will see a red “OOPS.” The incorrect response will not count against you unless the time is up. Each correct answer is worth 200 tickets to use in the Rewards Store against the Featured or Current Sweepstakes. So, before you tear your hair out, before you give up, just return to this thread where one or more of us will be able to help. Also, join us in light conversation, ideas or whatever and LET THE FUN BEGIN….:) (Please note: I have asked for double or triple tickets for the game this month because it’s Customer Appreciation time. Thus far there has been no response. But you never know. Maybe some of the questions will give us more than 200 tickets.

There are so many people complaining about the stay at home law in MN. Our death toll jumped the most it has done so far. I don’t understand how people seem oblivious to what is going on.
-
@SanibellSheller OH, don’t even get me started!
I’m old…I have had blood pressure (controlled)…I watch my blood sugars…and I am darned thin. I have no margin for error and I don’t even like (who does) getting a cold. I don’t even want to run the risk of getting this nasty virus. I definitely wear a mask (I now have a variety of paper and washable fabric [neighbors have been making them]) and keep my hands away from my face. I wash my hands after I’ve been out and am carefully using sanitizer (since it’s impossible to get). Gloves? I think that they are a placebo. Once you touch anything with a glove (that may be contaminated with virus), the glove is then contaminated and can just spread it. The virus is respiratory and not (as far as anyone knows) absorbed through the skin.
I will be “distancing” and wearing a mask until if/when there is a vaccine. I might consider an anti-body test but my feeling is that I never picked it up or I would have had some degree of illness (and I have actually been healthy this year). Just my piece!
-
pipman, I also read where someone in the Union for American Airlines is asking that they make it mandatory for everyone to wear a mask on a flight. I think it was a Miami flight to JFK that half had masks and another half nothing. For now, I will not fly. Having my hubby drive 1200 miles is out of the question. My illness came from an overnight stay in a hotel room. I do not want to go that route. I am better off here. We only go out to market and starting next week to doctor appointments. As of now, we do not have a mask because no one has them. Making one is not a good idea for me since I am all thumbs. Have a few coming the beginning of the week, but not many. Hoping to find something in the next week. Oh, yes, while on the road, we have to eat. There are no deliveries to a motel/hotel if the lobby is closed. I cannot eat something in fast food because of the preservatives. Breakfast at most places are not served. Yep, better off where I am.
-
@oodiebom The FAA will still NOT mandate masks for passengers and crew. United, Frontier, Air Canada have made them mandatory for crew but that doesn’t protect crew from passengers. It’s maddening that the FAA just says that they are not in the medical business. WHAT? Somebody is keeping it from happening and would love to know who it is. My carrier is waffling about making them mandatory (they are optional)…just glad I am not there. There was a doubling of reservations for today, going from around 20,000+ to 40,000+ (nothing compared to pre virus). There are not that many essential travelers. Also saw where they are planning on reestablishing a bunch of international routes next month. The spread just continues…..
-
And to think we can get this thing again and again……..”MAMA MIA.’
-
( do use gloves at the gas station; we have self-serve…those pumps are nasty!)
-
Sanibel, the problem is the leadership and the so called “fake news.” Many believe that the news is fake and this will pass just like the flu. Michigan is having similar problems only the GOP wants to take the Governor to court to open the businesses and to stop people from quarantining at home. Meanwhile, those that voted several weeks ago are now coming down with this virus. I think the last count was 18. Yes, it is a very scary situation.
-
Indeed..the deaths are mounting and some people are acting like this is all made up..very scary, what part of pandemic do you not understand! God help us all
-
I agree, God help us all.

Life and back to 200 tickets.

Please someone when I type it is making extra letters – what can I do
-
They look normal in here
-
It doesn’t seem to be doing it on this site but I when I try to go to something it does
-
pb you are probably leaning part of your arm on the flat service just below the keyboard. Mine does the same thing. There is a way to lock it so it doesn’t occur. Are you using Windows or something else?
-
windows
-
pbbelly. Go to help on your computer. There is an area where you can search how to stop double lettering. It should bring you to the right area so you can lock the keyboard so that the letters are typed one at a time. If you have Windows 10, you can ask Cortana. That is what I do. If you do not have Cortana, Just type how to stop double letters on a laptop in google. I think that will help you in the long run. Then of course, FBN, who is on this thread is even more knowledgeable, so maybe he could offer some assistance as well. But, the answer is locking the keyboard.
-
pbjelly are you using a desktop or laptop?
-
llaptop and now it is doing it it

Speaking of life,my husband and I both went and got tested for Covid-19..Riverside opened up testing for all and we’ll get our results in a week? Neither one of us is ill but I wanted to be sure we weren’t asymptomatic.Oodiebom did you and husband ever get tested?
-
dds, we never got tested. It was on top of our list the day we disembarked. Checked everywhere, there were no tests. Tried to contact our physician and his office was closed for the next two or three weeks. Finally contacted CVS and they will let us know when they become available. But, I’m afraid it’s too late now. I will wait and see if we have the antibodies from the infection.
-
@oodiebom The antibody test for you folks now would be fascinating to get! Maybe one of these days you’ll be able to have that done.

Mary is on Q2! Live!
-
My cable doesn’t get Q2. Who is Mary?
-
Mary Deangelo,I believe ..usually on w/David alot
-
At the bottom of this page is a link to QVC and then you hover on the menu for Shop QVC TV (underneath the cart icon on the top right), then click on QVC2 TV and it’s a live streaming show on kitchen, cooking, and food with the host Mary DeAngelis, who is a funny lady.
-
@Sanibel Mary DeAngelis…kind of David’s sidekick on his shows before Stacy (sp?) got there. She does her own cooking stuff show that is usually Saturday mornings on the Q2. You aren’t missing much since the virus started…most of the programming on that channel now is reruns from the main channel.
