do you play the arcade on a touch screen?
i was wondering if some of you use a touch screen for the arcade games. i use a computer and i have to use the curser and then click with the other hand. i guess it could make a difference in speed. sometimes i have glitches, too. it’s so frustrating. what do you think?
There is no way I would play with a touch screen. If you have a place to connect a mouse, I would do that. My computer has a touch pad and I don’t use that either. First thing I did was get a mouse and have used that every since. I use the touch pad for other things, sometimes, very seldom. With the mouse it’s so much easier, one hand, just point and clilck. Much more relaxing.
I play on the app for my ipad and iphone. I dont play seriously, though. Too many glitches and delays. Those games r for what ? said…a mouse i guess.
If you’re currently using a laptop touchpad, then a touch screen is probably faster, as long as your screen is situated such that your arm won’t get tired. But like Merce3, I prefer a mouse. I’ve tried a few of the games with a touch screen and the only one I’ve been able to get a higher score with was Alu’s Revenge. I would have thought a touch screen would be faster with the Mahjongg games but I haven’t noticed any significant improvement. With Lights Camera Subtraction you have to be precise and I can be more precise with a mouse than a finger touch. With the Jigsaw Puzzle, it’s easier to pick up pieces with a mouse, and I found with a touch screen that my hand blocks what I’m trying to see when I’m fitting the pieces together. So it probably depends on the game, and with what you’re accustomed to.
I mostly use a laptop but sometimes I use my pc. I dont have a touchscreen but think that might be better for some games but not all.
I don’t like the touchpad so I use wireless mice/mouse on both machines.
Something else you can try is, if you have 2 machines, try a mouse in each hand. Do something on 1 machine (either play games, read email, surf the web) and on the 2nd machine play the games.
This way you can practice with both hands and see which works better for you.
I am actually right handed but mostly use my left hand for the mouse.
But mostly on the games it is practice practice and more practice!
I use both; however, you can play all the games on a laptop, Any of the games which require moving things around like the Puzzle or Twizzler and the like – you can’t do it on a touchscreen. Games like Flip Out, Find It and games you just have to “click” on something you can play on a touchscreen. I do use one of those special pens for the touchscreen because using your finger doesn’t work or works very poorly. Good Luck fellow gamer. I think we probably all run into some gliches once in a while – like “NOT WINNING!!!!” Well, I do that all the time! LOL
