Thank you Lizzie. I will give it a try. I just wish they would have one of the older easier to play games once in a while . I have not played double tickets games since the month of July. I will let you know how I make out. Have a great day AGGY788
Aggy, Sudoku is a game of logic. The object is to end up with all the numbers from 1-9 in each column, each row, and each 9-section box.
I usually start by looking for rows, columns or boxes that only need 1 or 2 numbers to finish them out. There’s usually several in the easy version. As you fill those in, it will probably fill in others so that you can just keep working with 1 or 2 open spaces.
After that, I start trying to fill in the number that has the least places still to be filled in. The box on the left of the puzzle tells you how many spaces are left for each number. You can “pencil in” the numbers that could be in a space by clicking on the green pencil in the middle circle below that box. (That’s a toggle switch so just click it again when you’ve figured out what number goes in a box. Then you’ll be able to type it in.) To erase numbers use the eraser button in the right-hand circle below the box. (For penciled in numbers, you can just type the number again and it will cycle through from the pencil number to a crossed out number to the erased spot.) As you fill in numbers that affect the penciled numbers, the game will cross out penciled numbers that you can no longer use.
Since there’s no score to beat, all you have to do is finish the game to be entered in the drawing. There are several help functions you can use. If you turn “show errors” on, it will show you anytime you enter a wrong number; however, even without that, the game will tell you if you’ve entered a duplicate number in a row, column or box.
Post back here if you have questions. I know I had written up some directions for the game before, but they aren’t coming up when I do a search. I’m not sure how coherent the directions above are, so just let me know what’s not making sense or what you need help with.
