I enjoy playing Bridge. My problem is the partner that is set up to go with me. Half the time it does not bid when it should and tthe other half it bids when it shouldn’t. For example: It will bid say clubs , so I follow suit and go along. Then the cards open up and it has the three lowest clubs that there are in the suit. Or I bid and it goes along with my bid and it has none of that suit and it has ten of the highest cards of another suit that it should have bid on. I cannot play with three "people" against me. Although we win alot , it is a struggle.Who sets up the partners in this game and can it be improved upon? It would be so much better if the partner knew what it is doing.
Not only are there the gliches that are mentioned, but there are many others. I will win a trick and it be given to the oppoments or trump trick will be ignored as if were not played. Please fix the Bridge game.I am a good bridge player so fix it.
There are definitely glitches in the Bridge game. It seems that sometimes the partner goes wild on the bidding and keeps increasing the bid to a crazy level based on what is in its hand. It will keep contradicting my bid and coming in with a higher number in a different suit and then as has been mentioned has less of that suit than the one I was bidding. I just stop ‘competing’ with my partner before the bid gets to impossible levels.
Another problem–while playing the partner will sometimes toss in a high card like a king in a suit (even though they had a lower card) when the opponent has already played the Ace. So instead of winning the next round with that king, we lose it too.
I have also experienced that an opponent didn’t play the suit that was led even though they had a card. I have had my card trumped by the opponent only to discover later that they had a card in the suit that should have been previously played. If that had happened, I would have taken that trick.
But for the most part, I still enjoy the game because it adds variety to the types of games available. I like Spades and Hearts also and have played them on the computer using the Hoyle games. They would make nice additions to the Arcade. Would really like to see CRYTOGRAMS return!
Oh my goodness – I love this game and was so glad when it came to the arcade, but like you I absolutely want to reach through the screen and choke my partner. This has been discussed before on a thread somewhere, but you are completely correct – the bidding is beyond senseless! Wish they could set it up were *real* users could partner up. I bet you and I would kick some computer rear! *grin*
Oh I played this game a little bit when it was the double point game. I have played spades and hearts with cards before but I have never played bridge. It seemed to me that my partner was playing /bidding funny too, but since I dont know the rules of the game thought nothing of it. I guess in my case I was well suited for my partner. but seriously your computer partner should be at least competent for a player who does know how to play a real game.
