Armed Forces Day May 21,2016
Thank You to All the Men,Women and Animals who have served our country.
Thank you to all of the men, women and animals who have served our country. I enjoy freedoms paid for and protected by your bravery and sacrifice. To say THANK YOU is so inadequate. Words nor actions can adequately express my appreciation for your service.
I am a proud sister of veterans. Both brothers were in service at the same time (1967-69). Both served in the army. Both were shipped over seas at the same time, to different war zones. I vividly remember their days of departure as well as their return home. The sadness at their leaving was surpassed only by the joy of their homecoming. The younger of the brothers served in Viet Nam while the older of the two served at the DMZ in Korea.
The older brother was the accident prone member of our family (the one I take after). The younger brother discovered the older of the two was being assigned to Viet Nam as a foot soldier. Knowing how things seemed to happen to the older brother, the younger brother requested to be assigned to Viet Nam before the older brother’s orders came through. As a result, the orders for the younger brother came through first and he was sent to Viet Nam as a member of the heavy artillery. The older of the two was assigned to the DMZ in Korea. In all probability, this sacrifice may have saved the life of the older brother. Both veterans returned home from the war, Thank God.
My paternal uncle was killed in WWI. My maternal grandfather was a soldier in WWI. I am proud to be from a family of brave soldiers. THANK GOD FOR YOU ALL. GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU AND YOURS as you have helped keep us SAFE AND FREE.
Thank you for fighting for our freedom and protecting us!
THANKS TO AMERICA’S FINEST. THE BEST OF THE BEST.

Watching the R.O.T.C. what I wanted to do with my life. 4 years in R.O.T.C training, signed on the line.. of course mom was frozen.. her signature was needed also however my grades were great and I was I was graduating early. Mom and Dad’s daughter was going off as a proud Soldier! God Bless America!
We Americans are so blessed to live in a country that is still FREE. The remote tour I was on mocked the American Armed Force and wanted us to go home! We did what we came to do..
I LOVE the USA! My Flag hangs on my door 365 days a yr for the last 26yrs.
It was an hornor to be involved in serving the USA! Remote tour 1986.
Thank you all for your service and commitment!
Prayer one day that all of our troops will come back home safe:)
For the dedication and for serving this great land of ours.
Remember freedom is not free it come with a sacrifice of human lives.
May God Bless and keep each and evryone safe.
Peace and love forever:)
Thank you everyone who served both past and present.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank not only those currently serving our country, but those whose lives have been irreparably damaged, and finally, those thousands who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our democracy. As part of that democracy, they died to defend one of our most important rights, that is our right to vote.
Study issues ( League of Women Voters will put out good, fair summaries) and ignore all of the horrible gutter campaign noise we will face this summer and fall.
Then, regardless of your politics, please commit to voting in the upcoming elections. Democracy only works if people participate and exercise this right that was defended by massive loss of life and suffering.
Votng is the fundamental way to honor our Armed Forces members and to demonstrate true patriotism. Twenty to forty percent voting rates are simply unacceptable and a disgrace!,
Thanks for your patience, I’ve stepped down off my soap box, and will soon regain my normal goofiness. Best wishes for civility, kindness and a mature and thoughtful approach to our voting!
THANK YOU! All US Armed FORCES, thank you for your service!!!
Thank you to all the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country. God Bless you all and God Bless America.
