A Little Community Issue is Bugging Me Bad
Since yesterday, the rolling banner at the top of the theads has been filled with the two normal ads and one double sized blank picture with a pink x in it. (The Pinterist travel promo?)
Every time the big blank box rolls by, the titles of the threads bounce down about an inch (on my iPad). When the normal header comes back, all the theads jump back up about an inch. pain in the tookis (sp?) to try and read the dang things.
I cleared everything, entered new web address, and yada yada– to no avail.
Is is it me, or has everyone been silently suffering?

AH HA!, The mystery is solved….I couldn’t figure out why I kept seeing Pintrest “Log In” request the last several times I have logged in to HSN. Now I know…ANOTHER PROMOTION THAT I AM NOT INTERESTED IN, WAS NOT AWARE OF AND RUN THE RISK BEING BOMBARDED WITH EMAILS BECAUSE OF HSN’S INCONSIDERATION OF THE PRIVACY OF ITS’ CUSTOMERS. The same thing happened to me with the Norwegian Cruise Line promo. I was unknowingly entered into their mailing list and it has taken forever to stop receiving emails and promos from Norwegian.:womanmad:
HSN, ARE YOU LISTENING? I do not appreciate being unwittingly subjected to promos which serve only to bring income to you at my expense. How much money do you make by making your customers email and other personal information available to such companies as Pintrest or Norwegian Cruise Lines? Customers should not be subject to being “entered” into promos just because they are “surfing” HSN. pages. If I want to enter a promo, I certainly have the sense to do so on my own.
I find HSN’s sneaky treatment offensive, an invasion of my privacy and shoddy to say the least. If customers run the risk of being entered in promos, the warning should be listed in big bold letters up front. Entering customers in promos should not be set as the default. The default should be set so as not to enter customers into promos with a clear option for entering being available to the customer.:womanmad:
It was very frustrating! I thought that it was my computer, too. Several times yesterday, I could not even connect to hsn. I got a message that the site was too busy. :womanfrustrated:
Hello SweetheartPines, you are not alone. Seen a big white box with a big gray X Sunday. Today is Monday and don’t see it at all. on my laptop. Surprised you didn’t get clear you history, cookie and cache. I’ve done that it’s an hsn thing. Hope the issue your having clears up AND hope you have a nice Monday 🙂
