Unfortunately, the M didn’t work for me, it clung and showed my tummy roll too much, L would have been way to big. Lesson learned AGAIN, will be sending them all back. :smileyfrustrated:
In my opinion, it is because most hosts shows are completely hijacked by the ‘designer" – such as Joy Mangano, Diane Gilman, SLINKY daughter in law who comoletely talk OVER the host so rudeley and say whatever they want to say – how many times have you heard about WHO invented the SLINKY FABRIC that is being copied 100% by everyon else at this point in time- so it is no longer just theirs…. but I feel for the host and wonder why some of them don’t just grab their cup of coffee and leave the set as they can’t get a word in edgewise having to hear about Diane’s most recent flight in and what she wears at board meetings, how many people ask about her jeans and how she can wear such "tight" jeans and be so comfortable blah blah blah; then Joy Mangano is another one that has the ability to talk for 20 minutes straight without coming up for air. The Network NEED to write something in the contracts where they are put into place and FORCED to allow the HOST to do their job…. but since DG2, Joy and Slinky bring so much revenue to HSN… I’m sure Corporate Executives are scared to death – but seriously there are enough hangers in the market place identical to hers now – they should go outside the HSN world and don’t let them hold Diane’s record of selling 20 million pair of jeans over their heads. I’m sure included in those 20 million count are the ones returned and sold in large pallets to auction folks as there is no shortage of finding those new with tags in many locations other than in the HSN outlet or HSN.com….. Some times whomever is in the control booth will be kind enough to put up the hip measurements in the window of the screen (as the Q shopping channel does with EVERY single clothing piece and much appreciated)….. I dread Joy being on for this big event she ought to be so full of herself she will be unstoppable for the next 24 hours – make it a game and count how many times she talks right over what the host is saying? I have to mute her and Slinky gal, as I cannot tolerate hearing their voice and behavior.
Sizing is so all over the place within a brand and between brands. Having just returned a pair of jeans that were about a foot too long, and at a $7.00 charge for shipping, I too have learned my lesson.
I would like to see more information presented as well, just as those of you have already mentioned.
I don’t need the endless ahhs, and pretense of excitement.
There used to be a host who actually brought out a ruler, who I have seem on a few different channels. Now we have to try to read what is not being said, or try to watch how the model might move, and if you look hard enough, there might. Be a ‘tell’ on the host face. I figured how to read one hosts face when I bought an item that was a big dud, it was a sweater, and returned. I watched the video a few times and figured it out.
Shipping costs way too much just to try on clothes. We need all size models and their measurements, and the size of the garment they are wearing that is being presented.
We need to see the backs of the garments. Almost every time the model turns around, the camera goes to another shot.
We’ve been asking for this for a long time. Shipping on some garments is over $7, some over $8. Then $7 to send it back if it doesn’t fit. If I get free shipping or a discount, then I may order something.
I agree Completely! Completely!
I’m tired of agonizing about what size to buy. I bought several of the TS vest yesterday, but I tortured myself over and over about size. I am not confident at all in the purchase.
The chart offers little help to me. If they would just tell the Size of the ____ garments!!
They could Always Show the M size and Tell us what size they have on the hangers. Or, make one or two models tell (tell the host and the host tell us) what size they are wearing. – Not their size, but the garment size. … If the models are too Super Model to do That – Let them go.
A lot of times, Colleen will get a model to give her size. – Thanks Colleen.
Bobbi Never gives an inkling about size. … A lot of Oohhs and Ahhs, but no useful information.
Long time designer Susan Graver Always walk over to the models and report Size Information! Consequently she sells a Lot.
Worrying about size has prevented me away from many purchases. I’m tired of griping about this. It is Stupid. Years ago, they gave Size information, but now they have gone Hollywood and no one wants to talk Size. Okay my new motto is No Size Information – No Credit Card Information.
I remember a few yrs ago when the host would give the sizing for all the garments.Bill Green was always the best about it.:womanvery-happy:..When they quit telling them on the shows,I stopped watching and looked online instead, since I knew I would have to look online anyway to get the needed info.
I agree,I need to see the back too and more info on some of the jewelry.
Gjok,I sure hope yours will fit you.:womanhappy:
I just watched Suzanne’s last presentation of this TS, not once did I hear any mention of size and how this fits other than it’s got super stretch. I ordered three sets as I love the look, the fact that it’s not bulky is great. I’ll just have to eat the shipping charges if it’s too big in the medium.
I must have been half asleep when I started this thread, sorry for the messed up typing, it should have read ‘the sizes that they are wearing and that each model is in’, me bad!
I would have been all over this TSV, IF it had long sleeves. I wear sweaters in the winter and don’t want half of my arm uncovered. I know everyone is different, but it is cold enough where I live that I need long sleeves in my sweaters……
I have no idea why the models guard their sizes – along with the sizes in clothes they model that fit them best- as some sort of a secret. You are working as a walking hanger. Don’t be vain. How many items I didn’t buy because I was not sure which size I needed! And how many items I needed to send back because I took the risk!
They also for some reason do not show the back of garments or any item a lot. You can endure to watch a whole segment online and not even once catch a glimpse of the undercarriage of a ring or the back of a clothes item!
For what it’s worth, the TS is listed as "fitted." For me the rule of thumb is, I need a larger size. So my suggestion for a plus size woman – or any woman who prefers a slightly looser fit – to go ith the bigger size, especially if in-between sizes; and for a minus size woman to go with her usual size or smaller if in-between, and if she wants a close fit, a size smaller.
I totally agree gjok. Sizing is so much more important to me than the colors I can clearly see. Tell us if an item runs larger or smaller than typical so we know whether to stay true to size or go up or down. I used to always have to order down in Slinky but now am never sure, especially with tanks. Please just focus on sizing more and it may help HSN as much as customers because of fewer returns. :smileysurprised:
I don’t know why the don’t. I always look at the garment measurements.
Congratulations to the winner, tamaratowery!
