We R Memory keepers over the door armoire
I bought but it has a big crack in the back and the back wasn’t put on properly, I am very upset because I really liked it when I saw it and now very disappointed
I received mine with several flaws also. Unfortuately, they are so cheaply made. Like others I kept it because I liked it and didn’t want to ship it back.
My armoire has been great except tonight, the back fell off and it made a HUGE noise and woke up the kids!
I am probably going to replace the back etc… I didn’t overfill as I use it to store “projects I am working on” and some lightweight stamping tools etc…
It was a bit damaged when I got it, a few knicks and bumps but not super visible and not worth putting it back into the shipping containers. ugh. Just FYI for anyone who cares, since I didn’t have a place to review it. Too late to return, & still paying flex! :smileysad:
My husband isn’t happy with the extra work on the cabinet. Maybe I will try to mount it to the wall after I replace the back part with real wood. Great idea, but made super cheaply. I wish it was made at the same place as my jewelry armoire I bought a few years back from HSN, made in the USA. No issues with that and I have loaded that poor thing down with tons of necklaces.
I have been with HSN since 1989. I watched with my mom and we still bond over the products now that I have my own family. I have loved the quality of the merchandise over the years and the customer service. I have noticed a slight drop in quality on TS items or some that sell over 50,000 in a few hours etc… I hope HSN doesn’t lose sight of the customer. We are loyal and trust our show hosts, but if I keep having things fall apart like this, I won’t be purchasing much more. Thanks for listening.
I had to send mine back as well. The back was cracked and coming off. I was hoping it would return on today’s 24 hour craft event. It’s not for sale anywhere. We R Memory Keepers is either re-tooling it, or they have just pulled it altogether.
There must be a reason it was removed from the HSN site instead of just showing up as sold out. I suspect it was because far too many people received damaged and flawed items and were posting negative reviews – I have seen many complaints and photos of the damage on Facebook. Some were damaged in shipping, but it sounded like many were just poorly manufacutured. I get why HSN and the manufacturer would want to remove the listing – so people wouldn’t see all the negative reviews, but personally, I think that this is highly deceptive. Review systems exist for a reason, and if the seller and/or manufacturer can just remove them (or remove the listing so that people won’t see them), then what is the point of having a review system at all?
Mine had numerous flaws as well – and none of the issues with mine could have been caused by shipping, Clearly I wanted the item in the first place, but because it is no longer available, I called and asked for a price adjustment and was offered $25. I didn’t take it yet – I need to examine it more closely to see if $25 is really enough to make me willing to fix what I can and just live with the rest of the the damages and flaws – I need to make sure it won’t fall apart once I hang it up and fill it. One of the sides is actually separating from the unit. Yes, I can reinforce it, but the pieces I need to do so will cost me money at the hardware store – like I said, $25 might not be enough to make up for everything that is wrong with it. I’m sure the return shipping would cost HSN close to that much anyway, so it’s not really that generous of an offer.
I am so sorry that you all are having damaged goods sent to you. I received mine in perfect condition. And I love it. Except for the fact not a good place to put post earrings, but hey its still nice. Make sure you contact CS and tell them about it. Maybe they’ll let you ship it back when they come back on the air. Don’t give up though. Send it back, explain why and enclose a letter informing them that when they come back you want an exchange. It should work, for their on the air all the time. Good luck:womanwink:
I received mine DAMAGED!! And of all places it is separating from the bottom side. Too Bad because I really liked it! And..its SOLD OUT!! So I can’t even do an exchange!! I googled the armoire and saw that it had a 1.1 star review out of 8 reviews on HSN..Mysteriously, it doesn’t even appear on the website as “Sold Out”. So I can’t even read the reviews!! Wonder if others had the same problem I did.. :womanfrustrated:
I didn’t have cracks on the door, but I did have a problems. The back of mine was not attached, the center shelf was cracked, and the hinge screws were all loose. One was missing.
I spent a couple of hours screwing the back on. Why it was stapled in the first place is shoddy workmenship. It needed to be screwed on in order to support the paper organizing section at the top. I hunted up a screw for the hinge and tightened all of them, and then attached to over the door hooks. I really like it now, but it should have been properly assembled.
@bottlegirl44 I’m sorry to hear that! I see you have already contact us to report this, but if you need any further assistance please let me know.
