Toxic Miracle Clean
I just opened and sprayed the Miracle Clean in my kitchen sink and before I got done I had to cover my nose and mouth because of the fumes..I bought the Orange Blossom scent and it smells like strong cough syrup. It instantly got in my lungs and I thought this stuff is TOXIC..How can Joy sell something like this..How did this possibly get the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval? I called customer service and before I could say that HSN can pay to ship this back the girl said the shipping would be waived. She said everyone is complaining about the orange blossom smelling so strong. She said Joy was made aware of it.She assured me the product worked but it wouldn’t hurt me..Really..False..With fumes like that this product is TOXIC and not safe..Shame on you Joy and HSN..
I hope its ok to have posted about beekman here and sorry if its wasnt..If you want me to i can delete the posts as i dont want to hijack your thread!…I just thought the info was valuable as to the untruths these vendors tell the public.
SLOW LEARNER no more Joy products for me.Bought mop bad.Purses last month cheaply made. This disaster.Hangers breaking.Steamer not steaming.Got to give it to Joy she is great saleswoman.LUCKY for her she is able to get new people to replace those of us who have learned the hard way!!
Just a reminder to contact customer service by phone, social media or on the Customer Service Thread so they can note your account and waive return shipping fee.
All the comments on Joy’s FB page are just as bad. She is trying to spin it as the new clean smell, and no one is buying that. This may be my last purchase from HSN due to the blatant lies.
New clean smell??? 😂
Nope! I don’t believe it for even a second.
Bumping this up in an attempt to keep posts together .
I’m sending mine back too. It smells horrible
I agree this is the most foul smelling cleaner I have ever purchased. I had to open all my windows to air out my home and I opened the bottle in the kitchen. I have washed my hands multiple times and cannot remove the chemical smell from mu hands. I also tried the cleaner on a Waterford ring holder on my kitchen counter where I put my jewelry when I’m cleaning. It did nothing to clean any of the fingerprints or grease off the high quality glass.
My eyes are burning and the linings of my nose are burning.
I think you are fortunate that it would cost so much to return this product. It is going into the trash and I will never buy another Joy Mangano product. I believe all purchasers should be given a credit on their HSN account for what appears an unintentional toxic attack on your consumers/
Regarding the complaint above about Beekman soap, I retrieved a bar of Honey Orange and Blossom. HERE ARE THE INGREDIENTS:
Sodium cocoate/palm kernelate
Kukui nut oil
SO…honey is the 10th ingredient. And seed oil is not petroleum oil. I see no indication of petroleum based products. To be clear, there are chemicals, but everything on earth is made up of chemicals of some type.
I don’t care what HSN has posted on their site as the ingredients. I have been using their soap since they started selling it on the other network. Honey is not listed on the soap I bought from the other network & it’s not on the label on the soap I just bought from HSN.
The only soap that has honey in it which is on the label is Apricot Honey Tea. I just ordered a set of it to compare the label with the label from the soap I bought from the other network.
I have the ingredients of all their soaps they had posted on the other network.
Beekman needs to stop saying there is honey in their products if there is no honey in it.
I have the honeyed grapefruit not the apricot!…So there is 2 without honey which they claim have honey….Even the name is misleading as you would think its in there..I cant watch these people like Joy and beekman anymore knowing how misleading they are.And when i run out of soap will look elsewhere because i dont want to give them my money anymore….I have a plenty of joys hangers to last a lifetime now and yes some have broke but still like them…Maybe someday they will get there act together and quit lying to make a sale!
I have honey and oats and honey apricot and no honey in either of those…Hsn does not list honey tho in the apricot but does in the oats.Good to know the one you have has honey at least.
Sorry I was not very clear on which items have mineral oil….The hand cream and body lotion which hsn does not carry…Its called C13-14 Isoparaffin…..Below are the ingredients for body lotion that was sold on the other network.Plenty of toxic stuff in this one.
Apricot/Honey Tea: Water (Aqua), Isopropyl Myristate, Dimethicone, Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Fragrance (Parfum), Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprae Lac (Goat Milk), Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Honey, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Sodium Hydroxide.
This comes from truth in aging
* An emollient
C13-14 Isoparaffin is a mixture of hydrocarbons (mineral oils) derived from petroleum..
The EWG does cite that C13-14 Isoparaffin is considered a pesticide inert by the Environmental Protection Agency, meaning that it could be potentially toxic. No other studies were found that listed any negative side effects or health hazards regarding the use of topically applied C13-14 Isoparaffin.
Wow so glad i didnt buy this…I am realizing that Hsn and other shopping networks are shady imo and not truthful so its buyer beware on many items….I would never buy something where i cant read ingredients first and i see HSN does not list them on this cleaner..Now why is that??
Can someone post what the label ingredients are?..I would like to know whats really in it..
As a example of there dishonesty and the vendors dishonesty Beekman 1802 claims there is honey in a couple of bar soaps they make yet when you read ingredients on bar soap there is NO honey…When they were on another network the ingredients online showed no honey now the ingredients on hsn list honey yet when you look at the wrapper of the soap sent from hsn no honey listed……They also claim they dont use petrolatum in there stuff yet its found in a few items under another chemical name……Its false advertising at its best and is illegal but they continue to get away with!?.
Many of these vendors will say anything to get a sale so my motto is to look up all ingredients and see just whats in them before buying…Its truly a eye opener to see the lies they tell.
That’s why they are called HOME SHOPPING CHANNEL. The hosts are rehearsed to say whatever to sell the product.
I wonder if it’s reacting to residual chemicals like bleach that might be on your sink. I do know that when degreaser comes into contact with bleach, it can form a toxic vapor that you should not inhale. The weird thing is that there are many toxic substances that are odorless and many stinky things that are not necessarily toxic.
