They owe us a big apology…
I purchased Joy Mangano’s Miracle Clean on auto ship. I have purchased many of Joy’s products over the years and besides a suitcase that arrived with a broken zipper, all have been fine. That is until Miracle clean.
My issue isn’t necessarily with the product (although it is awful). I’m actually more upset with Joy and the HSN hosts for their deceitful false advertising. How can I ever trust them again?
Unless they had bottles of water or something other then what I received in the mail (and countless others did, regardless of scent), then I can’t fathom how they could honestly promote to us that this product has pleasant scents! They went to the extent of describing the notes in each scent! Let me tell you, the only note was a sour one! All you could smell was an extremely strong and offensive medicinal antiseptic smell that lingered for hours and left a smell on my hands that wouldn’t go away after multiple washings. It made me feel physically sick and gave me a headache too.
If hosts had been honest and said it had a very strong smell to make it a powerful cleaner, then at least people would have truthful information on which to base their buying decision.
I and a lot of others feel they were lied to and taken advantage of. The whole premise of home shopping is that we trust in you the hosts to give us accurate and honest portrayals of the products so we can buy them without smelling, touching or experiencing them. You are our eyes, hands and NOSES! You really let us down!
I don’t know if I can ever trust you again. I think you owe all of us a big public apology for false advertising.
HSN after all these years I can honestly say you are just as much a con artist as some of the infomercials! You stink!!
This product sholdve NEVER been sold!!! AND YES, All a Big LIE, NO MORE for me!!
I have lost all trust in HSN after how they misrepresented and LIED about this product, going way beyond false advertising.
I agree and I just tried to access the post referring to the ad for Joy’s Miracle Clean in Good Housekeeping on page 43 which I saw and you cannot log into the post… I am really beyond disgusted with HSN and I never really trusted Joy from the first time I saw her… Snake Oil Salesman was my impression… Now I have to copy of the Good Housekeeping Magazine and I AM going to get in touch with them so HSN keep up the deceitful behavior because I think you are digging yourself in very deep by not addressing the disaster… this is the stuff class action suits are made of and I fully expect this to be deleted.
Yep, it stinks all around. I bought the orange ‘fragrance’, and while the product did seem to clean the smell was so overwhelming, I couldn’t get it off my hands! Or my kitchen sink. No one wants their kitchen or bath to smell like that.
Joy and HSN hosts spent hours hawking the product, never once mentioning the very strong, pungent smell from the Thyme Oil derivative. I fell for the hard sell, and believed the very elaborate description of the fragrance detailed online.
Taking the product down from the site and any other outlet so we can’t comment on it is cowardly.
Joy is probably doing major damage control on this epic failure of a product launch, but I agree…she owes us an apology.
People are paying $$$ to return this, and should be reimbursed.
Like I said, it stinks all around
I am glad to see these reviews because I experienced the same thing. The smell is nothing less than putrid and it made me sick to my stomach. I was afraid to spray it on anything. This is definately going back. HSN should refund everyone who bought this without exception.
They better line up some very good lawyers because this could end up like the Emeril/Martha Stewart/ HSN lawsuit years ago. Refresher: Emeril (run by Martha Stewart) sold chef knives with what he/HSN said was German steel (knives) when boldly printed on the underside of each blade said MADE IN CHINA… Ever wonder WHY Emeril disappeared from HSN? This Joy Mangano product and sales pitch was PURE FALSE ADVERTISING AND DECEPTION. I don’t trust any of them anymore!
