samantha brown carry on issue
I ordered the tsv.. so i would have a beautiful carry and the first thing my husband says is that wont fit for a carry on.. its too big.. I looked up and most of the airlines within the us say 9 inchs and this one is 10.. they also say 14 inch and this one is 14 1/2. Have any of you have issues carrying it on??? Trying to decide if i keep it or send it back for something a bit smaller
29mom, I’ve flown several times and always used it as carry-on. I never use the two inch extension. When I use the tote, I make sure to leave enough room in it to put the purse I’ll use during my trip. the tote is my purse! When I board, I’m never asked to check anything. I usually fly, Delta, Air France and United.
Hint: Sometimes the airlines will ask if anyone would like to check their carry-on, ( this will happen after you’ve gone through security, and you’ve checked in), I make sure to have a lock on each piece of luggage, and never anything valuable in it. This is the only time one gets to check baggage free!
Don’t worry about things that are out of your control.
As the airlines had added larger overhead bins (types that drop down) there is of course a growing problem with bigger and bigger bags. In particular, the bags now with these swivel wheels. Many of these bags will not fit (or not let the bin completely close), if the bag is flipped on its side like a book…thus negating all the supposed space that was to be gained by the larger bins. The goal was 3 to 4 bags standing like books but sometime only 2 or 3 bags get put in…
If these bags woun’t fit standing on their side, just do the usual and go wheels or handle in first.
