question on longevity of the DuraPan nonstick
I am curious. Now that the original Curtis Stone DuraPan multipurpose pan has been around for about a year, How has the nonstick held up? Any new nonstick surface/pan works superbly just out of the box. The real test is how does it work after months or years later? Does it still perform well after all these months? or does food stick all over to it?
Your comments today may help folks decide on whether or not to purchase the new deeper multipan today July 2, 2016
Of all the guest chefs HSN has had on Curtis Stone has to be the most engaging and kind to callers. He sells items without the HARD sell…….not to mention I have yet to see some nasty habits on air like someone else we know. Show hosts should step back, tone it down and let the vendor demonstrate their items. By the way Curtis must have touched the side of the pan closet to the burner….that gets hot on the burner…..the handles do not. I already have two of his pans and know that first hand.
Thank you for the replies. It does look like a nice pan and it is much deeper than the original one. The original looks more like a griddle thatn a pan.
After the presentation I saw last night,
I will not buy from him.
He sat there pounding away on his chopper
as someone called in and he didn’t pay attention
to a word she said.
Just turned me off.It was so darn rude.
You couldn’t even hear what she was saying.
He kept pounding away and could care less what
I was going to order it, but then I saw Curtis burn himself earlier when he touched the handles. Supposedly they get warm not hot, but the look on his face said it all. If this one is the new and improved version, why not add rubber to the handles to avoid burning our hands. Anyway it looks amazing for cooking and the special pricing is great, but I tend to be picky with details. Hopefully they will change the handles or just have one conventional rubberized handle.
Well, I ordered it before it sells out. Love the coating of the pan, love the look, love how fast it cooks. Thanks Curtis and thanks HSN for not raising the price.
I have the original and the second pan Curtis offered. The second pan has the coating of today’s TS and I want this one too. I have to say the first one I bought does have food stick to it. But the second one is a dream. Don’t hesitate go for today’s TS. You won’t regret the purchase.
