Hi everyone, I know it has seemed like a long time since I have been here.
I am finally back to post up more pictures of my crafting. I have been working away and some of my crafts have taken a little longer then I expected.
Thank you everyone for posting in my last posts of the Colorama coloring books etc. You have all touched my heart in those posts. You all know who you are and I thank you with
Downton Abby fans as I am too. I have made my own Downton Abby Birthday Card with things that I use in my crafts.
With that said I will now show you all what I have been up too.
First picture up is my hand knitted hat and scarf that I have been working on since last I was here.
I only know one stitch the garter stitch. I know how to finish off. The hat is in the process of being finished. I just have to sew up the back and add a button and a button loop and I will have a hooded style hat.
The scarf is 60” long by 4” wide. The scarf is finished. I will have this for next year or if the weather turns very cold.
Next up I have also been coloring in my colorama coloring book. I have managed to finish one drawing.
I have also been working with my scan n cut. I was inspired by a video that I saw the Brother Spokes Person Julie Fei Fan Balzer create.
The inspiration that Julie shared was taking a book mark project found with in the project page of the scan n cut canvas. Julie took the book mark and turned it into a candle holder. That inspired me to learn how she did this.
In that lesson I learned many ways to manipulate the scan n cut canvas. Once I learned the process. I did one of my own. I used a design that I have had for years and it is a Halloween design but I was inspired to take the design and reduce it down and turn it into a candle holder. If you all remember in October I made several Halloween designs using my scan n cut, including a pumpkin candle holder with A. G.’s glitter paper.
here is a picture of what I have done.
Next up I had mentioned a while back to my friend Possum29 that I was going to make a little red bird for my window. Well I did I made two as a matter of fact and have one in each window. I used cricut red window cling, and my scan n cut. I used one of the built in designs a little bird. Take a look.
Next I have been doing some searching for free things on the net of Downton Abby and did find some. I found some paper dolls of past seasons. I did find a set of the Dowager Countess, plus some of the other characters with outfits to dress them in etc.
As for me I will use these designs to incorporate with using in my scan n cut.
Paper doll set.
I also found some poster pictures a complete set of the upstairs and down stairs. What I did was I laminated the sheet and then cut the portraits out using my paper cutter. These can be used for adding to cards as I did or even adding on to a hand made book mark etc.
For my last set of pictures, I am showing you my own made Downton Abby Card. As always I have been inspired by HSN and that awesome creator of cards Sara Davies.
I used some designs from scan n cut I used my Craftiers Companion Ultimate tool. Plus I used a poster picture of the Dowager Countess free from the net. Due to the update of rules as it is a true in person photo to the actress in character. I covered up the face with a white sheet of paper. Just as not to break any rules.
Take a look Front of Card
Inside of card
I used the hat from the paper dolls that is sitting on top of her head as the white paper is covering her face.
the roses on the table are also from the paper dolls.
What I did to create this card was once I had all my pieces cut and sentiments written. I just layered it all together. I also used coordinating colors where I could.
There you have it I have been busy and I still have more to do. Hope you are all well and getting ready for spring.
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my crafting funnies.
Your HSN friend,
I am just stopping in to say Hello and to say what an awesome crafting day here at HSN. I have been watching all day and checking out all the vendors. Awesome everyone you are all doing a fabulous job. As are the Hosts loved watching them too.
Welcome new Vendors/demonstrators you have all brought some cool additions to the HSN family of crafts.
You all know what my favorite had to have been. The Scan n Cut2 Demonstrated by the Brother Spokes Woman Julie Fei Fan Balzer. Yay Julie I am so glad to see you.
Hope you enjoyed your trip to Switzerland.
Item # 478-635
I loved the idea Julie showed with using the adult coloring books. How awesome was that sewers and coloring book people. I loved it what a great idea to take the page and scan it in and then make a stuffed toy out of it. Can you just see that big owl done like that from the Colorama coloring book. Wow then you can color it in with fabric coloring markers.
Wow Wow, than you would have a fall decoration. Rabbits for spring oh oh my mind is just coming up with more ideas.
I will be watching the rest of the show so I will end here. Oh I am still working on my pockets got the rest of my supplies and now am ready to finish embroidering names on and then do my vinyl applique.
Happy Craft day everyone,
Your HSN friend,
This was my first ACB pic. It has great memories. In the middle of making this, I went out with one of my BFF to draw a painting party for her birthday. :womanvery-happy:
As I mentioned in another post here that I was making Easter baskets and sewing pockets for tee shirts. I managed to get the name on the first pocket and now I am just awaiting my iron on vinyl. I am putting a design with it on the pockets. I have to get the rest of names on first.
With that said I thought I would pop in some pictures of the little Brother Easter Baskets. These designs are free for using and saving and printing. I printed these off with my printer then I brought them to my scan n cut to cut out the baskets and the little figures.
You do not need a scan n cut to do these. You can just use a pair of scissors and glue. There are three different designs included but I used one design twice as you will see. I also used Crafters Companion Spectrum Noir Ultra smooth premium white card stock. Item # 383-891. I love this paper for printing from my printer and using it with my stamps. It really takes the ink well.
Thebaskets are the right size for little hands and will hold Easter grass and some Easter Candy.
Brother had many other designs for paper crafting as well.
First picture is of the three little baskets showing the little designs that you get to print out with them.
A bunny a a little chick in a hatched egg and a spotted egg.
Next picture is of the side of the baskets showing the little designs that are printed out on the basket. The little handles are included. the one with the purple handle is a replacement for the original handle. Which is the first basket. I used another card stock.
Well there you have it my little Easter Baskets.
