I’m looking for an embossing machine that will accept the 2-pocket folders like the kids use in school. I have the Anna Griffin Cuddlebug but the 2-pocket folder is too wide to fit in that machine. I’m also looking for an embossing folder with keys on it too IF I can find an affordable machine that’s wide enough for the 2-pocket folders. I don’t have the folder dimensions with me but most kids use them to put school paper in so whatever school paper dimensions are + maybe a couple of inches wider I’m sure would work.
The Big Shot Pro has a 12 x 12 platform, but the machine is huge. I don’t have any place for it. You can’t just pick the thing up & carry it around place to place. It’s expensive too.
This reply is kind of late, but the Gemini that was just on the 24hr craft show has a 9 ” x 12 1/2 ‘ platform. hopefully you got to see it. This is the widest opening I have seen. I have several die cutting/ embossing machines but wanted this because of its size and that its electric.
I’m guessing the size you are talking about would be 8 1/2 x 11 inches?
I have the Spellbinders Grand Caliber machine – the plates are about 8 1/4 x 12 inches. I don’t see it on this site but they do have the new Spellbinders Platinum machine. It shows large plates that are 8 1/2 x 12 1/4 inches.
I also found the Sizzix Big Kick machine on this site but it does not list the size of the plates.
As for the key embossing folder – I think I saw something like this in a big box store but the folder was probably the standard embossing folder size – not as large as the folder you mention. I would imagine you could find something like that online though.
I hope this helps!
Sorry, I wish I could help.
