Debbie’s Green Boxes
MIy refrigirator is full of ‘green boxes’. I love them and they do keep everything fresh longer/ However, I wish Debbie would invent a tape you could affix and write on and easily remove. I get so frustated when I have to open two or three boxes before I find what I want. Would love to know whether anyone has solved this problem.
Just to add…I too have a lot of the Green Boxes and like them a lot. I got a big set, mostly rectangular in various sizes plus some round ones. The rectangular ones are just darned convienent and stack nicely in the frig…very happy with mine. As far as labeling…I must have the lite ones as I can slightly see through to identify the contents.
Thanks for all your tips and jokes. I have tried masking tape … it works.
? ? ROTFL LOL LOL!!! you two are great. seriously why is that gene missing?? in twenty-one years he has never, ever put a lid back on anything all the way. i have had jam, mustard, and mayo jars just fall off and crash when i take them out too close to just holding the lid. again….men are from mars….women are from the clean-up aisle. take care  nik
I use masking tape. I keep a big roll in my kitchen and use it as freezer tape…cheaper than freezer tape and works just fine.
Easy to write on, stays on, but easy to peel off.
Post its dont stay on for me unless I tape it on LOL.!
I also love the green boxes, but read from another posters thread that these arent BPA free???
I usually just write on a piece of scrap paper and put clear tape over it, since it won’t be there very long. Most of the time, I can see what’s in it by flipping it over and looking at the bottom
? what a great idea! why doesn’t she have that??? i just use a piece of post-it, sometimes i add a little piece of tape over it, because the food won’t be in there long and it comes off easliy. i label everything. i mostly have to use labels because when my husband opens a container to see what is inside, he NEVER closes it all of the way. :catvery-happy: labeling saves the food from going bad.
