What type of pencils/pens are used on the cards that are stamped (like Lil’ Darlings) as they are so brilliant? I’m kne to doing this and wanted to buy their stamps but my pencils aren’t as brilliant or whatever is used for the technique to shade as the final card showed.
FYI, since you posted that you’re new to this type of crafting, some of the numbers listed are alcohol ink based markers and also watercolor markers, both from the Spectrum Noir line from Crafter’s Companion, which are wonderful products, but you should decide if you want to use one or the other as it’s not a good idea to try and blend the two types of ink in a single project.
CC also includes a DVD to watch with good instructions on how to use alcohol markers if you’re a first time user, that will be very beneficial.
The pencils from Anna Griffin are soft hue watercolor pencils (but can be used wet or dry), if you’d like to stay with pencils instead of markers.
B4 I forget, depending on the type of pencils, markers you want to use to color in your stamped image, you need to be sure to use the right type of stamping pad as well, one that is waterproof is best, so you won’t have ‘bleeding’ when you try to color in the image.
Hope that helps you a little.. I personally own the Spectrum Noir markers (HSN had them as a TS last year) and love using them, they’re double pointed for small and larger areas and have beautiful color intensity.
