Colorama Coloring books need some information please
Hi all you colorama coloring book fans I would like to know any fairies and fantasy designs in these two items?
item # 467-804 Three coloring books including Magic Path two sizes plus coloring pencils.
item # 432-444 Four coloring books Including the flower pocket book and six coloring pencils.
How do you all really like this item # 443-792 colorama 51 piece coloring kit. I see it has only a 3* rating.
In my opinion they looked pretty good when used by both demonstrator and hostess. Please tell me what you think. I have read that the case is kinda chintzy.
I see that both sets of books have a 5* rating.
Thank you so much in advance for reading my query and for your replies.
Your HSN friend,
CupaTea, I love coming to this thread and looking at your beautiful pictures. They bring sunshine to my day
DeLRayLaw, DeLRayLaw, DeLRayLaw,
Thank you so very much for all your sweet kind gracious words to me. It has made my day.
I have now finished a quick coloring of one of the pocket books that comes with the Colorama coloring books.
I used my 51 coloring pc.s the Yellow, Dark green, Green, Black,Purple. I then used the lighter purple that comes with the coloring books the double sided 6 pencils.
I also used one of my Spectrum Noir pencils the pale yellow on several of the petals. The color is from the Floral pencil set no. 016, worked out perfect for my purpose.
To everyone that has touched me with your kindness and your friendship and encouragement.
I dedicated this simple small coloring of flowers to you all.
May they bring a little bit of sunshine on cloudy day.:smileyhappy:
Your HSN friend,
Wanted to get back here yesterday:smileyhappy: As we know that did not happen. I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s day and for those of us in the bitter cold weather I hope you all stayed cozy and warm.
As for me I was suppose to go out to dinner with my romantic loving husband. Unfortunately that did not happen. The dreaded cold flu that is going around has finally paid a visit to my house. Needless to say he is very much under the weather.
With that said instead of going out I made a four course meal. It started out with king crab legs, then for medicinal purposes home made chicken soup. Then roast beef and roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli.
For dessert we had these. chocolate covered strawberries. I made home made waffles for breakfast yesterday and we had strawberries and whipped cream on them. I had plenty left over so I made a dozen chocolate covered strawberries shared some out and we also ate some so this is what is left.
I have never made these before and also I am not a strawberry person. With that said when I had one I suddenly found out how good strawberries are at least with chocolate.
How I made these very simple. I took some chocolate chips the ones for making chocolate chip cookies then I melted them in the microwave for about three mins or so. I had to continue to melt and stir as I went along melting the chocolate. I had earlier prepared the strawberries by washing with cold water then patting dry and placing on a paper towel lined cookie sheet.
Once I had the chocolate ready. I switched out the paper towel for parchment paper. I then lined the cookie sheet with that. I dipped all the strawberries by grasping them by the green leaves on top. Once I was done because it was so cold out plus I did not have room in my fridge for my big old cookie sheet. I placed the strawberries out sided on my back porch for about 5 minutes. I watched the chocolate harden on them. Once that was done I placed them on a glass dish and in the fridge they went.
Then I went on to prepare my other courses for my Valentine’s day dinner. It was enjoyed by all and I have some left over for tonight. The left over chicken soup will be my hubby’s lunch so hopefully this cold will go away as quick as it has appeared.
I have also made him some pepper corn tea with honey and lemon hope it helps. Peppercorns are suppose to clear out nasal passages and relieve the cough and cold symptom and keep you warm all over. Home remedy.:smileyhappy:
Well that is how I spent my day. It was very busy but fun and I really enjoyed doing this for my "Heart’s on fire, my Heart’s desire."
Your HSN friend,
Here’s my ‘borrowed’ creativity!! I wanted to wish all of the crafters a Happy Valentine’s Day!!
Hello there everyone,
I now have pictures of my second set of Colorama coloring books Item # 432-444 I would like you all to know that with this set you also get the coloring book that has paisley prints, stained glass. etc. I now have two of the same book with coloring pencils.
As promised here are some pictures of the new set.
First the small pocket book with the daisies on the cover.
the first large design in the little book
This picture is lovely too.
One more from the little book.
Next book the one with the Butterflies.
Lovely set of birds
A very lovely Angel there are two pictures of angels
The fourth book in this series
A mandela actually all the books have mandelas included.
Here are the books all together as I received them.
As you see I have two of the same books. I am Ok with that, one will be my scan n cut cut out book.
Now for the cute little coloring set of 51 colors.
The pencils, markers, and oil pastels etc.
The back of the case
Ok now that we have the pictures up. I will mention a little on the color set. It is very nice. Is it worth the price? I would say it is about the going rate of an item like this. If you break it down you would more then likely pay about 3.00 USD for each of the sets. Pencils, markers, paints, and oil pastels.
Then at least 1.00 usd for the eraser and 1.00 usd for sharpener. same for the pencil maybe .50 usd for the brush. Then the case at least another 3.00 usd or more. So it seems fair for what is included. I have seen a set with 101 pcs for about 30.00 usd it did not include any markers but it did have acrylic paints.
The markers are not dry as the oil pastels are new and fresh too.
Nice little starter set.
Well thank you all for taking a look. Now lets get coloring and but up some more pictures.
Watch for mine as it will be coming soon. happy Valentine’s Day everyone.:smileyhappy:

Your HSN friend,
CupaTea, thanks for sharing some of the pics and what you’ll be working on.
I think that it’s a great idea for others to post pics of some of their completed pictures.
I am back again and I will post up some of the pictures of the books that I just got in the other day.
Yes I too have now started to color but my picture is not done yet. I just started it last night
I took a lot of pictures pretty much all that is in the books:smileyhappy: I am not going to post up all of them. Only a few and a small select few. I will tell you this I do love all the pictures. They range from domestic animals to wood land animals to jungle and tropical animals and flowers.
Then you have the light house the wine gazebo and cottage to the mill house. Then there are exotic birds to a Bald Eagle to domestic birds to just birds. Then there are the Mandela drawings. Mandela with their beautiful colors I think as we look at them and or color them, they are suppose to bring in a feeling of calm and peace and tranquility.
color in general has a lot of only way I can express this is magic about it color either sooths us or energizes us. Blues are cool and calming while reds are hot and passionate.
Time now for some of what the books look like up close and personal.
I love the gold inlay on the magic path book and the mandela on the larger coloring book.
I also like that there is a page to say who this book belongs too. Found on the second page of the Magic Path book.
These are some from the Magic Path the little pocket book has 15 of the same designs of the big magic path book.
Now for some from the Colorama 100 beautiful designs book
You now have an idea of what comes in these books Item # 467-804
Very nice indeed I really like this set with the six pencils. Can not wait to get my next set of books.
So everyone keep posting up your colored pages so we can see what they all look like finished.
When I have mine done I will post it up.
Thanks for looking I hope you enjoy your books as much as I will mine.

Hi there every one,
Just doing a guick stop by to catch up a bit here.:smileyhappy:
First off I would like to let you all know that I received yesterday part of my shipment.:smileyhappy:
I received item # 467-804. I will say I absolutely love the coloring books. I was looking at all of the pictures and they are very nice and to me do not seem to over whelming on the eyes. I find the paper to be perfect for coloring and absorbing the pencil color.
Unlike smooth paper this coloring paper is more absorbent to the color. I think that is why the coloring of the design looks much more brilliant and richer and deeper in color. Where as smooth style paper like my colored designs found here in this thread are not as porous and the color lays more on the top and does not penetrate in as in these pages. Hence maybe smooth paper is better for stamping and printing out on.
Later I will post up a few pictures of what is inside to give you all an idea of what to expect if you decide to purchase these Colorama coloring books.
Now for the six pencils that come with the books are very nice and come in a little plastic holders that have a hanger on the top of the case and on the bottom so that you can keep your pencils and coloring book together how cleaver.
The Magic Path books both large and small pocket are very nice. I do like the pictures in them. If you like the Lion with the dread locks and colors out with many colors he is in the large Magic Path book.
DEEAnna’scoloring design of the Mill house is also in the Magic Path book and the Birds that she colored is in the book with the picture of the Mandela on it. The designs are truly very nice and I so far am no way disappointed. I did not think I would be.
I also received my Crafter’s Companion item 451-708 451-706 420-064 426-494.
The Card stock that I bought the items listed above are nothing like I have ever seen before in quality paper. Quality paper is not the word. Think back in time to the Christmas boxes one would get from the more expensive department stores.
Remember how hard it seemed to get that box open for little fingers and hands. Well this paper is seriously on that order of the good old Strong gift boxes from yesteryear. It is made in the U.K. With one exception the C.C. 8.5 x11 Shimmering Card Stock is made here in the U.S. it to is very nice paper and I am happy with this purchase as well. With that said I am very happy to see something made here in our own country.
I am still at the crafting projects will discuss those in their appropriate threads that I have already started here on the Home and Craft forum. Looks for those as well.
I will be back soon to post up some pictures of the Colorama books now mind you I have not started to color yet so the pictures will be just as they are if you get the books non-colored.

DEAnna thank you for your kind words and telling us all how your coloring was a great success. I am very glad you join me on the creativity adventure. I think when we make a mistake in creativity it just brings us to a higher level. So there really aren’t any mistakes just a new journey and adventure.
Thank you all for stopping in and checking out this post I love having you all come in and love all your comments
I finally made my first real special occasion card it is a Birthday Card. I will post it up in a bit. I still have to make an envelope for it. So take a look for that shortly.
Your HSN friend,
Thanks everyone for your kind words and encouragements. The two pictures were from the Colorama book sets. I actually, purchased two sets, the first one had the birds and then, of course, they had to create another combination of Colorama books, which included the Magic Path book. So, in order to get that particular book,(Magin Path)n I then purchased a second set. Boy, do I have enough books to practice and relax….Lol. Both pictures, I used my 51- piece color collection. I mixed the colored pencils with the markers and then blended them and smeared them like what the heck. However, the markers in this collection I had to be really careful, for their markers would bleed. So, I tried hard not to press down. I do have to add, the rhinestones actually came about to cover a mistake I made trying to mix the colors and, Lol, I used the rhinestone to cover it….Lol. But then, I had no choice but to rhinestone away to make it look like it was intentionally.;;Lol
Also, Cupatea. In flipping through the Magic Path book, I saw one fairy, one mermaid, a moon fairy (I think). But, what I loved most about this book, it had animals; like wolves, leopards, cat, a panda, etc. and gardens, cottages, etc. color. I hope that help.
Thanks again for all you do and sharing your thoughts and crafts!
I am just updating to catch up here. As you know I have been busy with the sewing. Check out sewing post.
I am really thinking hard about purchasing the colorama coloring books and the 51 coloring set.
After looking at DEAnna’s coloring she has really sold me on the books and the pencils. Tamarick really has pushed me to getting the books as to her description as to what is in the Magic path coloring book. My reason for these books is to incorporate them into use with my scan n cut if that would be possible.
I also found out about the Harry Potter coloring books and some look of interest to me too. I am a big fan of Harry Potter even though it is now gone by.
Well I will up date this when I get my purchases in. Thank you all for reading and go check out my Singer 5532 thread. I am finally posting up pictures of the Pj’s for my young lady. I finally have that set done.
Your HSN friend,
HELLO CUPATEA :womanhappy: AS I’M DRINKING MY TEA AND JUST PASSIN’ THRU–I THOUGHT I’D SAY HELLO TO YOU–AND I’M WISHING YOU (EVERYONE READING :smileyhappy:) A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!! :womanhappy::womanvery-happy: AND, DEANNA—VERY NICE, HOW VERY TALENTED YOU ARE!! :womanvery-happy:
