Calm Down Curtis Stone !
He gives me a headache jumping from one item to another. Today the worst. I’ll bet the hosts want him to calm down too. Counted 14 items he brought up in less than a half hour this afternoon while TSV being discussed. He’s already a rich man so no need to be a common peddler. Had to turn him off because he talks so fast too.is
I saw this too. Since I’m cooking a lot I’m watching shows I don’t see often. With mistakes like Curtis Stone made, I want to tell him, ” Can you please remember you’re in people’s homes? You’re not at an outdoor market, fast talking to get people to come on over like a carnival barker. So behave like you’re in someone’s home in person.” This is one reason David Venable is so successful on QVC. He talks to the audience as though he were in their homes (which he is) –respectfully, conversationally, without affectation or panicky pressure. His demeanor assumes the products are so good they sell themselves, and so it seems they do, while actually he’s selling like crazy.
I normally like Lesley but she was as hyper as Curtis. Changed the channel. If you don’t watch, you don’t buy!
but what if you really want to learn about the product, or the cooking method? That’s what bothered me. I did turn it off, but I wished Curtis Stone would have stopped pushing every product on the planet and given me more information about what he was doing. I did turn it off finally, but I don’t watch all day and hadn’t seen the pans before. I know he’s not a professional salesman so I’m giving him g a pass, but it was really annoying.
