Why This brand of supplements
I’ve looked at all the supplements available. Can anyone explain to me why I would pay so much for these compared to another brand I have bought? What makes Andrew’s any more better than others? Are they really worth the cost???
You should watch one of Andrew Lessman’s presentations.
He explains why his supplements are better.
Sigh… that’s exactly the conundrum I have. With vitamins, you NEVER know if they work, if the ingredients are even what they claim they are, etc. People on here pay extra for AL’s vitamins on the belief that a)they work, even though I doubt anybody can actually have any proof; b) they are somehow more pure, the real ingredients. AL is an excellent salesman with blue eyes more honest than those of a used car salesman.
There is absolutely no proof of any kind that I am aware of that these vitamins are what they claim they are, let alone that they work. Most other supplements are shown to be a waste of money, and some are even dangerous. AL’s – who knows. Many supplements you buy elsewhere have been shown to not contain whatever herb/element/etc they claim. Some supplements that actually do work for example, on pain, appear to work because they contained aspirin! Some posters claim to really "feel the difference" but it is impossible to tell if that’s the supplement or simply placebo effect at work.
In the past I asked similar questions and… was told to "do my own research." Well, being I do not have a bio lab, I can’t really do my own research. AL displays the dangerous qualities of somebody who might be not quite honest with what they sell. The biggest reason is the overexaggerated claims of us absolutely needing all these vitamins…
I don’t know. I personally spend $$ of dollars buying his supplements, on the hope they maybe do work…… I feel like a terrible fool who is being taken advantage of,
saving4me—-I agree with Carlos . You need to view a few videos that are listed with the suppliments that might interest you.
I only take Vitamins for prevention. At times I do take more if the weather or flu season is at my back door and so far so good. I hope to live long enough to say it was well worth it:smileyvery-happy:
Ronnie here. I do take a couple of Andrew Lessman products. The results I have had seem almost like a miracle. Believe me I was skeptical like anyone else. I only started taking them to quiet the wife up. Well, she was right. With a preexisting condition from the age of three resulting in pain and weakness I was going down hill fast. The results. The Circulation and Vein Support eliminated pain in my lower legs. That got me out of the chair and back on my feet. I also take the Energy & Fat Metabolism Factors. It boosted my energy and I started moving around even more. The only side effect I experienced was the pounds falling off. I didn’t even have to diet. WOW! I’m not perfect and I’m not a poster boy for Lessman Products, but I get around better than quiet a few other people my age. For me this was not a placebo effect. No other drugs or supplicants and prescription pills are taken. My doctor was worried about the weight loss and had some tests ordered up. Well, they all came back fine.
For me I really like the size of his capsules.( I can’t swollow those big caps without choking, this is what attracted me to him first of all) I can tell you from my own experience ….I was taking his Glucosamine and Chondroitin caps for my osteoarthritis in my right hand ring finger. I was like you at one time, why am I paying so much for this, stopped taking them, my finger got worse(swelled up), reorderred his product and have never stopped taking them. (And yes it went back down to the size it had been when I was on his product) That was several years ago. I have tried various products of his, some I like, some I decided just weren’t for me. I like a bargain myself but I don’t mind paying more for a product I feel is worth it.
Good question…and cost is going to be a big consideration for many. One point, if you are going to buy, wait for his appearances when it’s all free shipping and all products are on sale…then the TS items make for even better pricing.
That being said, I’ve stunned myself with my bills…but I hope his ingredients are as pure and in amounts that he says…I know they are made in the USA (assembled that is) and I know his philosophy on the plant, solar and donating the prenatal vitamins.
It’s a crap shoot on which products…what are you wanted supplements for?
I try to eat "decent" but my diet is far from perfect (I never feel that I get near enough fresh vegetables or fruits nor whole/real grains).
I will always get the Essential 1 multi, Healthy Hair Skin and Nails, Cinnamon, Ginger, Turmeric…after that I’ll think about other stuff and reevaluate old/evaluate new.
Clear as mud, eh!?!?
For those having misguided thoughts and concerns, if you take AL products and don’t notice anything count your blessings you do not suffer from an illness. Illness that cannot be taken care of by the medical community and you are just told that is all we can do for you can sometimes find resolution by dietary/supplements change. When was the last time you were given a medically approved drug with all its side effects and still got no relief. Why is it medically trained doctors don’t ever refer you to a nutritionist, ever. That would eliminate the kickbacks from drug companies and you wouldn’t have to continue returning to said doctor for him/her to continue making a profit also. So who is infact really leading you astray? Serious illness should be taken care of by the doctor there is no other choice. That said, there are a lot of times when better diet, exercise and supplements are the answer, you have to be involved. The human body requires maintenance by its owner. At my age and careful reflection on my ailments and doctor advise, I determined to do my own research. It has accidently lead me to AL by accident or karma and have received trimendous results when the doctor was unable to help any further.
I won’t bore you with a lot of my medical problems, however, I have needed to take calcicum for example for forever. Then took cancer drugs that made it imparative but my body had rejected all possible formulations available over the counter. So for years I was lacking and my body has been showing the effects of the lack of calcium. I bless the day I caught AL and started taking the calcium/mag. with no side effects. They have resolved a lot of issues for me and obviously I can’t immediately tell what they are doing to my bones, but if they resolved the peripferal ailments of the lack of cacium, I trust AL products to be true to his word.
There is a website to check the quality, claims and efficacy of supplements: ConsumerLab.com. – Andrew has landed there with good results by the lab’s analysis. It costs a little to join, but do check it outl It has been very helpful to my husband and me while trying to figure out among other things, how to help with the side effects of Statins (cholesteral drugs).. We have gotten many answers there for a number of our questions. Glad there’s a conmpany checking out supplement claims – They use brand names and cost as well in their research.
Someone asked "do they work?" I am a study of two (husband and self), but I can definitely say that AL’s glucosamine works. How do I know? I had pain in both shoulders. Went to dr and he wanted to operate and shave the bone. Started taking AL’s glucosamine and the pain stopped. I thought well, I’m all better now so I don’t need to take glucosamine anymore. Stopped taking it and pain came back. Started taking it again and pain went away. Hubby has the same story with his knee. He tried other, cheaper brands and he says they don’t do the job as well as AL. So, for us AL’s works and works better than others. Definitely worth the price.
I think that ingesting all of these Vitamins and Supplements can become a dangerous game. I feel that we can all benefit from a Multi-Vitamin every now and then, but beyond that – I say no. I’m very far from being an expert though.
Who says that the human body needs supplements and extra vitamins. I had a relative who became ill and doctors determined that too much of some nutrients were in his system. The body can be overloaded from even water. I once heard a doctor tell a group of dieters that too much lettuce can be harmful.
Who knows is Andrew is sincere or not. Who knows if he and Any doctor or nutritionist really knows what they are talking about. While Andrew is telling you that you need all of these supplements … He is becoming Richer and Richer by selling them to you. Does Sales and Money affects what he says. If Andrew became better informed with new information and realized that all of his supplements are Unneccessary and possibly harmful … Would he tell you to Stop taking his supplements or would he continue to sell them to you!?
To order enough Glucosamine Chondroitin to last for the whole year would mean ordering two 600 bottles and a 300 ct. bottle at a cost of almost $250. I ordered last year but don’t remember it being that high. I heard him say this is the best pricing he’s ever offered, so I guess I’m wrong about that. Sure seems higher to me this year than it did last year …
results show up with your blood work, then the doctor evaluates from your last blood workup. I love his vitamins, proof is on paper from the lab.
Vitamins sometimes upset my stomach and I’ve never had that happen with the AL ones. I do still use a couple of his products, but I tried cholestacare for several months, lost 25 pounds eating a very healthy diet low in cholesterol during that time, and when I went back to the doctor, my cholesterol had actually increased by 40 points! I won’t use that product again.
As to how do you know if supplements are working, get tested. My vitamin D3 levels were well below normal and my doctor told me to use a liquid supplement that I can get (usually a BOGO so fairly inexpensive) at Vitamin World. This last doctor visit, my D3 levels had risen to high normal.
Women’s Complete has been my only vitamin since 2007 when I was missing meals in grad school. It’s expensive but I have tried other brands. WC gives me what I need to make it through my busy days now that I have kids. Thank you for autoship and flex pays. I never want to run out.
Procaps are a feel the difference vitamin for me. They are a bit high for my budget BUT I would rather take 1 of his every other day than to take some generic mislabeled vit crammed with fillers and dyed + sugared in a neon color daily. I am assured that I will get the highest quality in the purist form..
