Hello I have psoriasis and they say is a immune system, and stress problem, what products you recommend Andrew lesdman
Tanning Bed! It took my husband 3 or 4 sessions starting with 1 minute 1st time 2 then 3 minutes. I know it sounds crazy but he was covered in red patches on his legs and arms back and he cleared completely up. 😉 and thats what the doctor told him to do. now he just uses it when he has flare ups.
As far as what products to take I recommend supplementing with healthy oils ( fish, flax, olive ect), extra A,C,E, zinc and B complex. I have never been “cured” but I have seen significant improvements in my skin with supplements and a healthy diet. The most notable change happened with my psoriasis when I lost over 100 lbs. I agree that psoriasis is triggered by immune function which I believe is a result of excess sugar/carbs and or perhaps other food allergies such as milk.
I was recently diagnosed with having Psoriasis by a Dermatologist. Since March of this year I noticed on one palm of my hand some redness, dry, Looked like a burn no itching. I first went to my PCP DR.. He thought it was Eczema. Prescribed a cream to use twice a day… No improvement…
I then noticed on my other hand a small red spot on the palm of hand… Also noticed on side of one thumb dryness, some peeling at times…
Decided to go to a Dermatologist who was not sure what my issue was.. Again prescribed another cream which was very costly, and to be honest to pay for a product that may not work get something else that was suppose to be similar to that cream…
Sorry to make this long…. I have many different prescriptions, over the counter etc..
I saw a new Dermatologist this past Tuesday… He feels strongly I have Psoriasis because the other creams would have helped…. To add my PcP Dr. did blood work to rule out some other causes….
He also said an ointment with a stronger dose would work better…. This Ointment is too costly for me…. My Pharmacist recommended another ointment which is a little less potent but may help
Just wondering if having this condition on hands is unusal?

Hi, I am 53 years old and have had the condition since birth. It can pop up anywhere on the body. Mine is normally scattered in small patches on my arms, legs, and torso. I use to have it on my eyebrows, scalp, and nails. Last year I developed it on my left cheek for the first time which I still have.
