How much Vitamin A is too much?
Vitamin A is a fat soluble Vite and is in many of the supplements you sell…How much is too much on a daily basis?!?
Why is it not excluded from some of the formulas, if I’m taking adequate amounts with your multi, etc…Please allay my concerns, as I am looking to add hair & eye formulas, but am a bit nervous about the added quantities of A.
I did some research. It seems the most common issue with an “overdose” of vitamin A is liver damage.
However, the general consensus is if you’re taking a multivitamin, look for one that contains no more than 3,000 IU of vitamin A in the active form (indicated on the label as retinol, retinyl acetate, or retinyl palmitate). Many manufacturers are reducing levels or replacing with beta-carotene.
There are no toxicity issues with beta-carotene or other carotenoids.
All of Lessman’s vitamin A is delivered as natural beta -carotene, so there should be no worries how much of HIS vitamin A you consume.
