What vitamin or product can you recommend for getting rid of stubborn Eye styes? have tried everything – drops, shots, antibiotics and surgery. May be related to rosacea ? Very stubborn and won’t go away.
In some countries, people put castor oil on the stye. A little bit of castor oil. I tried it and it worked a miracle. I went to the doctor first and he said, you need for it to get ripened and etc. – a whole lot of pain and suffering, in short. I mentioned castor oil and he said something to the point that he was not endorsing it but some people really feel like they get results with homegrown remedies. So I put some on and instead of it developing and growing and then bursting, it just went away.
BUT I too would encourage you to seek a better specialist doctor.
How are things working for you? I am sure your PCM came up w/ the right solution,,
I really don’t think this is the place to ask about a problem concerning a most precious part of our body …..our eyes. We have only one set of them and they don’t grow back. To me….the worst thing that could happen is to lose my eyesight. I think I could handle anything else besides being blind. I know styes are not that serious, but I would still not take a chance with anything other that what my doctor would recommend.
It sure sounds like u have tried everything! U poor thing. What does your surgeon say?
When I was younger I got a stye every time I stayed at this super hot guy’s place. I think his pillow cases were the culprit. I stopped seeing him. LOL.
On a more serious note, I’m so sorry u r suffering and wish I could help!
The only remedy I have is this:
When my eyes got infected from using old eyeliner, my dermatologist had me mix equal portions of hydrocortisone cream and clotrimazole (antifungal) cream 1%. She had me put the mixture on the lash line and corners of my eyes (not inside). It worked like a dream!
Pleace check w/ your doc.
My 2 cents, for what it ‘s worth.
Try to get answers to your questions from the lead doctor on your medical team, or his/her nurse practitioner.
Take good notes and follow their instructions to the letter.
Ask about alternative treatments and prognosis.
If need be, ask for a second opinion (consult) with a specialist.
I would be very wary about taking medical advice from strangers in a shopping, gaming arcade (no offense intended to anyone here).
Good luck and God bless!
HI ku26:smileyhappy: FEELIN’ FOR YA HERE….suffered from when I was younger! Here’s what I’ve learned! FIRST, NEVER EVER RUB! AND ALWAYS WITH CLEAN HANDS/FINGERS….use a warm compress on stye-either washcloth or teabag (my fav remedy)! KEEP CLEAN AND DRY–no eye/face moisturizers/products! NO MAKE-UP– throw away old make-up/mascara and use NEW—-ONLY WHEN STYE GONE!! ! I don’t know about rosacea-could it be ‘reation’ to product(s) being use to treat, if any?? NO internet when I was younger….lol….but maybe ‘there’ has more/other ‘proven’ ways to rid, though your md should know what these (if any) are, OR maybe try another physician?! GOOD LUCK WITH…..I KNOW HOW ‘YOU’ SUFFER…..GOOD LUCK, ALL MY BEST TO/FOR YOU!!! :womanvery-happy::heart:
? Try rubbing the eyelid with a gold ring. May sound weird, but it works
