which one of the vitamins should be tried for being able to get of the medication. pills and insulin. type 2
When I started taking a statin for high cholesterol my glucose and A1C numbers really went up! The statin also made my muscles ache, and I experienced “brain fog.” I decided each day was more important in feeling better than having all these side effects.
Since getting off statins my glucose readings went down into the pre-diabetic numbers as did my overall glucose numbers. I still take metformin, however, since diabetes runs in my family.
Hope this helps…also, I am going to try alpha lipoic acid to see if it helps the burning pain in my feet. I did start taking AL calcium and magnesium and I don’t have leg cramps anymore.
Hi happy, I’m not sure that there is a vitamin that diabetics can take to get off of meds/insulin. Have you tried a low carb diet? Since carbs raise your sugar levels, it would only make sense to cut down on them.
I just read an article that said 600mg. of alpha lipoic acid/day helps with diabetes. You can do some research online by typing in alpha-lipoic acid and diabetes. Hope this helps.
