Dear Andrew, Please make specifically for Dogs…
A joint /Gluco/Chond supplement! All the Dog joint supplements that are out there are garbage, using only the Gluc Hydrochloride! ( see, I listen when you speak! :smileywink: ) . I thought about giving them your human vitamin, but the doses are way higher than what was prescribed by my vet ( 600 mg Gluc and 250 mg Chond + 400 mg MSM per day) , and not sure about the other ingredients that are in yours for them either? I’ve heard you say you give Lincoln your supps, but not sure how you divide up the dosage? Maybe you can speak to that more specifically?
Thanks for considering this, my 2 beautiful girls are almost 14 already and one has hip dysplasia! So please hurry!! lol! :smileywink:
If Andrew can’t help you out there are vitamin companies listed on line that address your issue for pets. I’ve seen this in their ads in the mail which I can’t put here.
I took the label from an empty glucosamine bottle to my dogs vet and asked him……he advised me of her dosage per her weight. So I suggest you ask your vet…..my vet was very positive about giving it to my now 14 year old Pug, I have just started giving it to my Shih Tzu (same age). I open a capsule and pour around 1/3 of it into her wet food each morning.
I agree with you that the supplements for dogs are not good quality and full of artificial preservatives, flavoring and other additives — and the brand that I bought gave my dog stomach upset…. I give my 3-yr old German Shephard female one of Andrews glucosamine/chondroitin caps every other day — I sprinkle it in her food. I figured out the dose by reading the dose recommendations on the bottle that I had bought for her — the dose on the bottle for her weight (75 lbs) was 1000-1500mg glucosamine/day and the chondroitin was very close to the amount in Andrew’s cap. The "dog" supplement also had the Vitamin C in it which I was glad to see because I wasnt sure about that. She’s doing fine on the supplements. I remember Andrew said years ago when he first got his dogs that he was going to come out with supplements for our pets, but I guess he changed his mind.
OMG!! WHAT A FABULOUS IDEA!! unfortunately, i do not own a pet. however, i have heard in the past pleas and gripes from several pet owners about the lack of safe, pure and quality vitamins/supplements for pets. talk about an un-tapped market!! in any event, help andrew!!! our beloved pets need your help to stay healthy too. stay fabulous, my friend!! xoxo.
