women plus size fashion
i just received HSNs email for the plus size sale and find myself banning HSN from my email. why? because they insist on showing scrawny size 6 models to market sizes 16-24. larger women are not simply super sized skinny gals. it is much more complicated than that. much more. what looks good on the smaller women….well, not likely to live up to the image or the fit being promoted. aggravates me no end. /g

I absolutely agree for a plus-size sale, they should be using plus size models. What they probably did, when they first originally put the products on air, was fail to get images or photographs of the products in plus sizes. Now all they have is the images of the models in the smaller-sized clothes.
I’m confused by the end of your statement… didn’t we all start out as super skinny girls at one time?!

many of us may have been skinny back when but becoming plus size physically changes proportions in ways that simply enlarging a blouse or pants pattern do not address. we are not simply upscaled versions of our formerly skinny selves. we are significantly proportionally different.

I’ve noticed that they often only have 1 plus-size photograph. That will show up when you click on “plus size.”

Very disappointing to hear. You would think they would know better. Its just one of the reasons I’m very selective about who I give my dollars to.
