Depending on the kimono, pretty much anything! I have several different styles and just added 2 of yours to the collection.
Marla thank you for the best, kindest, friendliest tags in your garments. I can never get over other designers that allow terribly scratchy tags often sewn in w/ a hard plastic thread! How they can do that to a garment that they put so much care into is beyond my comprehension. It leaves me feeling like they do not care about me.
And then it goes from awful to tragic when you try to carefully cut them out and get a hole in the fabric!
But never w/ Marla!
Just want to say CONGRATS for the fantatsic marathon of shows yesterday – you had so many amazing pieces and your presentations were so funny and warm, that it was delightful to watch. I recorded all your shows, but was able to watch most of them ‘live’. Can’t wait to get the pink kimono and the black/pink skinnys.
Enjoy your well deserved R&R – see you in April!!:heart:
black leggings and boots.
If you want to dress up a pair of your pattern slim pants, pastel or neutral blouse with a gorgeous necklace in London Topaz pendant, with Colleen Lopez’s London Blue ring London Blue Earrings,
Either flat blue shoes or small heels:)
Dress down Diane Gilman’s jeans, with white blouse and your kimono over it with slip on comfy shoes 🙂
Thank you for asking:)

kimono goes with everything, casual, dressy or just chic
Crop pans and boots are very chic!
I wear your skinny pants and just bought a pair of DG2 cuffed jeggings on sale…ordered the pink kimono; black/pink skinnys; olive grey skinny’s today (to go with olive grey cape) – wahooo!!
I pair of leggings and some cute and very catchy heels. Perhaps some clunky jewelry as well. My hair down, of course.
Marla… I pair my Kimonos, (I have two of them), with Leggings. I’m 5’3, and find that Kimonos elongate me while adding a touch of Style & Elegance… love them!
As for Tops, I pair with your Modern Tees and Turtlenecks. I’ve also worn my Kimonos with your French Cuff Textured Button-down Shirts (of which I have two as well).
I just bought your Boat Neck Butterfly Tees, (in Pale Periwinkle and Soft White), and can’t wait to pair those with my Kimonos too. ALL great layering basics! As you’ve quoted so often… Coco was right—> ‘there is NO luxury without comfort’. Well, Marla, you have mastered both! LOVE YOUR LINE!
A wink and a smile:smileyhappy:
I would start the day with her kimono over by pj’s ,put my phone in the pocket and walk the dog. I would end the day with a silk tunic and pants, great shoes and tons of fabulous rareities necklaces and earrings. Day to night.. or as they say.. as a gift bow and go.
I think a kimono goes with eveything from the most casual to the most dressy. I love your kimonos and cannot wait to see what else you have in store for us. Your fashions are timeless and I love that. I would like to make a request off topic. Will you pleassssssse consider making your leggings and pants in talls?
I would pair a kimono with a lovely cup or 2 of warmed Saki,
candles flickering, our favorite music & my Honeyman.
I love Kimono’s. I would wear them on how I felt when I woke up. Dressy, casual any way you wear them its GREAT! Tori.
I have never worn a kimono even though I have lived in Asia. If I were to wear a kimono, I would pari it with leggings. I don’t know what occasion would require a kimono, but I would definitely pair it with leggings.
