Ugh! Skinny Jeans!
Come on HSN, where are the jeans for “regular” women that don’t want to show their less than model legs or butts?
I see these skinny jeans on women that do nothing for their figure including DG. Sorry, but she does have some larger legs, someone should tell her before wearing them on air? She of all women should know better, she is a beautiful woman, but she needs to check out her jeans in the mirror for “all” women first! Skinny jeans are made for “skinny women! I don’t need stretch or tight fitting around my legs or butt. I need the ones like the old days, denium, fit good but looser and still shapely. Not something I’m poured into or what my daughter would wear.
Please talk to your companies. I’m not a teenager or a model but have nice long legs. I buy Gloria’s until HSN comes up with something better.
Skinny jeans won’t work on my body type. I need jeans with a flare on the bottom.
? I also notice that Diane stuffs her legs into pants that r too tight sometimes, creating thigh rolls. She thinks her legs r very skinny, but her thighs rub together, so I don’t know where she got this idea.
Not skinny women w little legs who pair their skinnies w a long top that covers the upper thighs and behind look fabulous.
U said u have nice long legs, so u actually have more options than most.
I think most women look great in skinny jeans that fit, with proper tops. Meaning, it is not supposed to be so tight your legs look like stuffed sausages; it is supposed to just be narrow cut. The big fat apple shape massha loves her leggings and skinny pants – which she, naturally, wears with tunics and dusters. Big fat apple shaped massha is short and so likes tunic dresses which she would not be able to wear without her leggings and skinny pants. Big fat massha also loves skinny pants for the ease of slouching them just so – poor short massha needs short pants which HSN no longer wants to sell.
I think it is important to have variety of things.
As for DG’s legs… Being a chicken herself, massha still thinks it is silly to expect women to have chicken legs. If your own legs are as thin as chicken’s it’s OK, and you are beautiful in your own way; but please do not impose that strange standard on others. DG is a gorgeous woman who looks great. Massha wishes to look half as great at DG’s age. DG can wear whatever she pleases, as do others. As long as it fits and all that needs covered is covered, it’s all good.
I am thin up top a 4 reg. or 6 petite but have my weight on the bottom, like a pear if you will. I am back to wearing my flared jeans, ones I have had for ages and have many – boot cut/flare cut and boy they give me a nice shape!!. I am okay with skinny jeans well more like straight leg jeans – they are good on me too but recently thought I am looking better with a flare to balance out my figure…it hasnt gone out of style doubt ever will!
Go for those…qvc hosts wear them and even rather bell types! I hardly ever post here but saw this and had to say try the flare/boot cut! Just about anything goes now…love that 🙂
I’m 59 btw no kid lol!
Agree re holes in tops and sharkbites…yikes.
IMO designers can get us into the strangest things!
You would most likely do better with a boyfriend jean. They are a loser cut and from what I can tell, they don’t hug. There are different styles of jeans for just about anyone.
Hope you find yours and wear them in good health.
skinny refers to cut, if you don’t like them, buy the boot cut or flare leg styles. Diane can wear whatever the heck she wants – she has confidence, take a page out of her book and stop being a hater.
I am not a big fan of skinny jeans, although in the winter they are great to wear when you are wearing your lamo boots, you do not have to worry about stuffing your pants in them. My favorite jeans are Gloria Vanderbelt Jeans. They always fit nice and are comfortable.
I might by kidding myself but I like skinny jeans. I am a heavier woman but what I do is I make sure I wear a tunic length top with my skinnies. The length hides anything that no one needs to see like stomach, butt and upper thighs and I feel pretty trendy on top of it. DG doesn’t offer a lot of tunic tops – but I buy longer tops from Woman Within online. Most of theirs are 28 – 30 in. They hide what I want hidden and I get to wear my skinnies too 🙂
Yes yes and yes, you are so right.
Check out Lands End,lots of jeans for all shapes and sizes.
Personally I love skinny jeans, especially Yummie which are good quality denim and don’t bag or stretch. Have you tried straight leg jeans? Many people who have heavier calfs or just do not like tighter fitting jeans love them. Yummie, Giuliana and NYDJ make straight leg jeans that are not tight in the legs. All of these brands also run longer if you have a longer inseam.
