Melissa Mccarthy New Fashion Line.
:smileysad: I just finished browsing Melissa Mccarthy’s NEW fashion line. She has forgotten what it was like to live Pay Check to Pay Check with all of her new found celebrity. Way overpriced and out of reach for most of us working girls. I have been a big fan of hers, but am really dissapointed in not only the fashion and styles themselves, but the prices are for HER type working class…she could take a lesson from Wendy Williams, make it affordable. Shame on you, Melissa…
Sorry…I won’t even be watching the show. $108 for ripped jeans??????
Most of your fashion vendors go out of their way to make their clothes not only beautiful, but affordable for the average viewer. These clothes are outrageously expensive – and they’re not even cute!
Maybe someone should tell Miss McCarthy that not everyone is talented enough to do a clothing line.
I don’t know if these are her designs or if she is just the spokesperson – either way,
I think they ought to go back to the drawing board, and while they’re at it – actually think about
who their customer is. It certainly isn’t me!
I have to admit that her pieces look better on air than in her item photos, and the quality appears good. However her prices will have to come down or I don’t think she will be able to retain her customers. You may be able to buy a piece or two now and then, but not consistently. I do like her, and hope they figure out that pricing needs to improve. I will not be buying now, but will see if any make it to clearance.
So disappointed……Melissa, it’s not YOUR line…..you’re endorsing an existing brand…..on size 2 models……….shame on you! Won’t be buying…..out of my price range.
I am so sad that I can’t afford these clothes. I have to turn the channel. Very disappointed. Please lower the prices. I love HSN and I buy from them all the time.
She has been in "the industry" too long. In CA they think these jeans are inexpensive. I might have bought, but I need petite. I am tired of trying to make fitted slacks look right when I have to shorten them. It is not just a matter of hemming.
I agree with you all. Very pricey for the every day real woman. If her clothing line are for real women, then so should the prices be! I remember her on a red carpet somewhere and she was wearing a light pinky peach colour long dress/evening gown. And she said to the reporter it was a prototype of her clothing line.
Now I wonder, what happened to that dress? It’s not here at HSN! And, I went and looked through what is posted under her name. Personally I am in that weird place between missy and plus sizes. So, I have to read reviews, check sizing charts, etc. I’ve got everything from a medium or size 12 to a 16 or XL! Often on shopping networks I have to finally figure it out and go to order and the size I need is gone. 🙁
Melissa is not designing as earlier reports said. She is endorsing the "Seven" brand. Which I think Lane Bryant has done for years.
Come on Melissa, remember where you come from and, who your audience is. You’ll sell many many more clothing items.
Nothing on this line is appealing to me…especially the price! The clothing prices on HSN and their rival competitor, QVC, are through the roof.
The majority of shoppers are us middle incomed wage earners that do live from paycheck to paycheck. Obviously the middle wage earners arent considerered. Too bad, McCarthy…if you think I’m impressed because it is your line you are fooling yourself. No go on the styles as well…
I agree it’s kinda pricey, but I hope the quality will reflect that. Don’t forget you pay for good quality, right? I bought one piece, the long black & white check skirt. It looks so cute, I hope it’s as nice in person. I’m a huge Melissa fan, I want her line to be successful. She is so funny and talented.
I was surprised when I saw the price of her jeans.I have never paid $100 for a pair of jeans and never will
This brand is not for me.
I definitely would have bought that skirt 437-255 now if they had it in solid black. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I also like that her tops are long. There’s a few other pieces I want, too.
I really thought there would be better prices on her line. I’ll have to wait for clearance also.
But a couple things are truly fabulous. My biggest love is the shirt with the bow in the front. If I didn’t have such a trouble selecting the color (all colors are terrific, flattering, and office-perfect) I would have bought one already! Trust Melissa to know what’s flattering on a plus size woman!
I don’t see anything in her line that is appealing, and it is shockingly overpriced! She is not a famous desiger, but only a celebrity endorser. It seems like her line will be short-lived, if the prices remain as they are, for such simple clothes with minimal tailoring. Those clothes would be easy to sew even for someone with limited sewing ability. I would only pay those prices for very well tailored clothes, that requires more than an hour to make! Sheesh!
I looked at the collection the other day I find this line way overpriced so there is no need for me to watch the presentaions.
