Bring these pieces back! Are you kidding, only jeans from DG. Your clothing looks like it is designed for twenty year olds. The older ladies have the assists. Even DG has lost her compass. She used to do pretty clothing. I have not purchased any clothing from HSN in years.
I loved Maggie Sweet too. Was in my 30’s when I started buying the line. The petite medium size fit me like it was taylor made. I always got complements. I also miss Terry Lewis. Now Slinky is the only brand on HSN I buy anymore. Wish Slinky made more things in petite sizing.
Bring back Maggie Sweet, Terry Lewis, and Randolph Duke!:smileyhappy:
I only have one outfit from MS..At the time the line was on HSN I felt the styles were way to ‘old’ for me and they were. But I bought a black pant set.The top has bottons down the front that look like small diamonds. It is soft and I have only worn it a couple of times but it still looks new.
Alot of the items sold out quickly when they aired because they were perfect for middle aged and up women and they were designs that fit ‘real’ people. They took into consideration that women came in all sizes and heights.
I only bought a handful of pieces in the Maggie Sweet line. But I still wear 2 cute lightweight jackets from it. I also like that he offered petites, and they were a consistent fit.
I also loved MS.I especially liked the dusters that I could wear dressy if I wanted to…The jeans were the only true petite length I have bought.I could wear them with flats w/o dragging the ground.
I remember when MS was so popular that you had to be watching at midnight to scoop up 1 of the TS’s.:womanwink:
Daniel seemed to know the line so well and I loved it when he presented with Bobbi. The 1 and only time I ever talked on air and both of them were so nice.
..Plus if you wore a medium in 1 item,I could always order that medium in any other item and the size fit,not like it is with some clothing lines.
Maggie Sweet offered petites. I still wear their jeans/jean jackets that I purchased long ago. Fabulous designs. Sure do miss MS!
OMG…Maggie Sweet! I have not heard that line of clothing in a long long time. They sell MS on ebay.
I do like some of the pieces from “Women in Control.” I wear those with a long tunic top.
I do agree that DG’s jeans are created for a younger age group. When I see her wearing those thick scarfs, I break out in a sweat!
HSN does not want to sell to the older ladies.
I’m still wearing Maggie Sweet’s jog outfits I bought years ago. He made his pant outfits in Tall!!
Never heard of Maggie Sweet. I have come to the realization that I must shop in lots of places to get the eccletic clothing I like. HSN, seems to have something for everyone “most of the time.”
I do believe they lost a lot of their “compass” when they lost Terry Lewis. Oh well.
Maggie Sweet was Daniel Kiviat’s line. He used to sell thousands of pieces.
Everything I ever purchased was perfect.
Then suddenly he was gone.
I’ve never heard of Maggie Sweet so I’m not familiar with her line of clothing. I don’t like anything tight or clingy or polyester especially in the Summer. Have you ever tried MarlaWynne clothing? I have purchased 2 coats so far and am very happy with the quality & material. Her clothing does run big so I do go down one size. I like it that her line alot of her pieces have a higher cotton content. I put pieces in my favorites & wait for sales or a coupon. I can’t understand wearing thick scarves in the hot months either! I don’t like the heat, I would rather be cold than hot. I hope you find a new line that you like & if you do please share:)
I have gotten some of the DG jeans because I need to wear something I don’t have to worry about ruining, but the fabric is SO thick and heavy! I feel like I am wrapped up and wearing a blanket from the waist down. I would love to have some nice casual pants that are lightweight and comfortable. I know Anthony has some comfortable, pretty, casual pants that are really nice. I got one of his summer pant and top outfit that is very cute to wear for my birthday. It is in the MIDDLE of the summer and SO hot! Last year it was in the triple digits and it is hard to find something that looks nice and is very cool to wear! There is another designer that does some pretty and feminine clothes for every day also and I may try something from her line. But the DG line doesn’t have anything like that. They are no pretty summer dresses or pant outfits. She layers so many things on, women who are post menopausal and hot all the time could never wear them. I will never understand why she wears those big, bulky, tall scaves around her neck up to her chin. She looks like she is drowning! It would not only be uncomfortable, hot and inconvenient but it just looks bad. I used to buy Maggie Sweet for work but now I wish a line would come out with cottons and natural fabrics . I do like how pretty, and comfortable Anthony’s clothes are and most all are a very natural, comfortable feeling rayon, with some spandex for comfort and sometimes a little cotton and I get a lot of compliments when I wear them. You might try looking at his things when he brings new items in. You might like them!
