Liz Lange Dress Fabric…
I love the Liz Lange designs but…I cannot get passed the fabric. Do all of her dresses look like that are made of fabric used to make night gowns? Are any of the dress made of quality fabric? Like the styles but, for me the fabric downgrades the garments. I really want to buy some of these dresses.
Liz…please upgrade the fabric used to make you garments. Fashion also makes a point with quality fabric.
I actually love the fabric. It’s so soft & confortable. My only complaint is that it also tends to show every lump and bump so you need good undergarments.
Yep, there is only so far this kind of fabric can go, you could just dub it the "loud fluid prints for women of a certain age". Sticking with solids helps a little.
I have four of these dresses and the material is a knit as many clothing are in today’s fashion market. I dress very well and always receive compliments on my fashion style. The dresses fit well and can be dressed up or down with accessories and shoes. When I wear the leopard dress with the matching scarf when I walk into a room all heads turn and when numerous women stop you and give you a compliment you know you made a good choice. It’s a matter of personal taste and what look good on the individual and I look good in Liz Lange dresses prints or solids.
I considered buying the jumpsuit with ruched sleeves, but I also am concerned about the fabric. I returned a dress from the LL collection because the fabric clung to my rear although it had plenty of fabric. I love the fabric on some garments but not that dress or for a jumpsuit. Beautiful dress, just not for me. I love the jumpsuit too on the models.
hehe I had to see what this was about. I love Liz she has great stuff but some of it looks like the early 70’s gaberdine sp? stuff. I do believe that this thinking may be because prints are difficult to get used to. I got one of her long tunic tops a few years back and just love it. It has a tie situation that allows you to control length and cleavage. It was pink on white with peek a boo sleeves. It had these great large white button on the sleeves and as my friend and I were waiting to go into the ballet she reached over and pulled something off my sleeve and said there you might like these gold buttons instead 🙂 I had just received it and threw it on without washing it. It goes with everything.
I also snagged a long black sleevless maxi dress with gold buckle. Was not too sure about the no sleeves but now it is not creepy to wear a shirt under or over or a shrug or a scarf.
Okay ladies on my 53 year old arm phobia, ask those males over 40 to roll theirs up, hehe same thing!!!!!
I love to snag liz and nikki at super clearance. I got four of nikki’s maxis two years ago when they were just making a comeback and I did well at $14.99 free ship. I purchased all of her ballet tops for $9.99 sure wish she would bring those back in a zillion colors like dgs tanks. I like to wear a tank with nikki’s ballet sweater and tie the strings around my back and waist. Also fun to put a very fitted shirt on top of the tank and push it up a bit to show the color underneath with the ballet sweater.
Started talking fashion and lost it 🙂
I love her polyester and spandex dresses but the last dress I purchased was rayon and spandex and was a wrinkled mess when I took it out of the bag. Had to wash to see if I could get the wrinkles out. With the amount of fabric it was quite difficult to lay out to avoid wrinkles. I don’t know if I was successful as the dress is carefully laid out on hanger and I don’t want to remove it from hanger until I’m ready to wear it. The other dresses I purchased from her were polyester, slight amount of rayon and spandex and these were excellent. Now I check fabric and if it’s just rayon and spandex I pass.
sikyiar I sent mine back the matrial was to heavy to wear in the summer and way to long. But i like her style and the colour she uses NETTEA 12:42pm 4/19/20`5
It’s quite a nice fabric, actually. More or less what all the modern clothes are made of, the stuff that washes well, doesn’t wrinkle and is so comfortable.
What do you mean by "quality fabric"?
I wish that she would consider the following fabric blends…
– 75% polyester, 23% viscose & 2% elastane
– 85% nylon, 15% spandex
– 96% polyester, 4% elastane
– 95% polyester, 5% spandex
Evan-Picone, Chaus and other are producing great dresses our of 95% polyester, 5% spandex…and by the way I just purchased a beautiful TIANA B. dress made out of this 95% polyester, 5% spandex blend. It’s time for Liz Lange to upgrade fabric…TIANA B. has.
