Joy & Iman Handbag Today's Special
Every time I watched HSN two days ago when Joy and Iman were on for her their TS handbag set Joy or the host kept saying “we are getting very limited ladies, please order your favorite quickly!” “Espresso is gone! Stay on the line if you’re wanting that color.” Why do they lie? The handbags are still available in every color (at a much higher price of course).
I noticed the same thing and the wondered about it. Yes, I’ve caught them in a blatant lie while watching the presentations. For example, on the couture getaway satchel, Shannon said she ordered the mint color on one presentation but on another presentation said she missed out… yes, she was being dishonest. I think its safe to assume that just about everything they tell us is either an exaggeration or outright lie.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying these bags aren’t nice; I think Joy & Iman are designing geniuses. However, you really have to check these bags bc quality control is awful. I’ve gotten several bags lately that had issues. I also learned never to buy a color that has run out bc they will send you a return which is likely defective. I hate the hassle of returns, especially during holiday seasons. I’m not blaming the designers, but I do blame HSN/QVC bc they ought to check these bags before resending them out after they’ve been returned. Or maybe they just don’t care and hope someone will just accept the damaged item… grrrr.
I wonder if QVC is pushing host quotas like I understand they do to their own hosts. My ex-mother-in-law worked for QVC and would tell me horror stories about how meeting your quota, or not, directly impacted your employee rating and if you ended up fired.
Shannon Smith is very good about that also. I stopped watching her due to the constant “this will not last, if you want it better be on the phone now. ” Also I got tired of watching her and the boxes she always had handy during a cooking segment. Seemed more like a begger that a host.
