Items sold out goes directly to waitelisted
If an item I am watching is sold out, why does it sometimes go straight to wait listed? Is this in anticipation of returns? Or are more items requested from the vendor? Or combination of either? Thank you.
I was on a waitlist once. It was worth the wait:smileyhappy:
I’d imagine it’s a combination of both.
I will say that the few items I’ve ever gone on waitlist for, I have received & pretty quickly at that.
Velveteen, are you a mind reader? Lol. Yes, I was asking about this because the cream colored HG clutch is on waitelist. I was hoping it was not for a return and for new merchandise. Good memory on the clutch.
TACI, if I understand your question correctly are asking when an item shown on television or the website says "waitlist" it means that the order will be shipped within 30 days of the purchase date. Waitlist usually means more of that item is expected and will ship within 30 days. Although it’s not a guarantee, I have been on waitlist many times, especially for jewelry and beauty items, and to the best of my knowledge I always received the item before the 30 day window. Cindy (the forum expert!) is correct in saying you have to place the order first to even get on waitlist.
BTW, did you order another HG clutch?
TACI, the item only goes on waitlist if you actually order it and if HSN has arranged for there to be additional items shipped. That is not always the case. Lots of times things ordered on waitlist will later have customers emailed to tell them that they order cannot be filled unfortunately.
But having something that you are watching will not put it to waitlist. You have to order the item.
